Sure sure. A video call without content shared on the screen is worse. Mhm. Please share more of your wisdom.

Comparing watching a movie with a video call. Good one.

You obviously never had a video call while driving and you act like you always look at the road 100% of the time. Hypocrite doing hypocritical things I guess.

Same. And most of them do not have a phone call. So I don’t know what you’re trying to say.

Imagine being so absolutely unhinged and saying shit like that. This is absolutely mental. Comparing a few car accidents with a genozide. No wonder you have a president like the current.

The aspect that makes it illegal is not if a camera is on or not, but if you actively control your phone with a hand. Using Siri? No problem. Video calls? Same. Texting? Big No No. And this makes total sense. I still struggle to understand what the big deal about this is. It is just based on wild assumptions (“he endangers cyclists” or “he is not paying attention”), no more no less. As if this shit was the biggest problem right now. How about you tell your government to not support Israel? Start with solving the real problems first.

I don’t know where you live, but in most states of the US, hands free phone calls are allowed.

As someone who constantly has calls on the highway, I cannot follow your arguments.

So what? Calls suddenly not allowed anymore?

- Comment on We too often minimize the sacrifices parents make for us 1 week ago:
I see. My interpretation might have been wrong. Things can be of different value, from low to high. What I was trying to say was, that it does not feel like a sacrifice to me, since I am not losing that much, and I gain a lot, by investing time and money into my kids.
- Comment on We too often minimize the sacrifices parents make for us 1 week ago:
Sacrificing means giving up something valued for the sake of something else. Nothing is of value to me except my kids. In that sense, I don’t have to sacrifice anything.

Oh right. I keep on forgetting about this awesome project. Now I wonder why it is not successful and I fear the lobbyism of banking and payment providers is just too good.

I hate to say it, but this would be one use case where crypto currencies would be ideal. Or any other decentralized solution.
- Comment on Sony Sues Tencent Over Horizon Lookalike 2 weeks ago:
Oh they obviously make more money out of those IP than they invest. And some IP’s are rather good. However, suing competition also means the market is so small, it is worth fighting them on the legal path, which actually proves my point.
- Comment on Sony Sues Tencent Over Horizon Lookalike 2 weeks ago:
Same for Assassin’s Creed, Black Ops, etc. It does not mean they get bought because they are good. It means there is nothing else to play. For Pokémon there is actually a good example how to create this healthy competition - it is called Palworld.
- Comment on Sony Sues Tencent Over Horizon Lookalike 2 weeks ago:
A game does not sell just because of art or the IP. So I like that there is competition. Would suck for Sony if the copy had better code quality, a better story, more content than their games at half the price.

You know there are transparent materials that can withstand forces of those, that are applied on a bicycle path. No one was even remotely talking about driving over unprotected panels. That’s just a weird imagination in your head. Instead of doing that, you could just invest a couple of minutes into reading what is getting tested already.

There is nothing absurd about it. Every surface, which is constantly exposed to the sun, should be covered in PV panels.
- Comment on Solar powered personal umbrella with battery? 3 weeks ago:
I actually did not, and here around, I don’t see anyone do that. I believe climate and culture are the factors influencing the popularity of using an umbrella as mobile shade.
- Comment on Solar powered personal umbrella with battery? 3 weeks ago:
Interesting. It appears that it is one side effect of climate change.
Side note: PV panels try to absorb a lot of light. Parasols try to reflect it, which is why they usually have a bright color. Imagine now holding an umbrella, absorbing more energy than your skin/hair would, causing you to sweat even more?
- Comment on Solar powered personal umbrella with battery? 3 weeks ago:
I think there are some test roads in the Netherlands on the bike lane. Roads are used in all weather conditions, 24/7. Umbrellas not. Roads have approximately the same energy yield as any solar panel on the roof, minus the suboptimal angle and minus the road users causing shadows.

Different device, similar features. They tend to be much larger, making the weight an even bigger issue.
- Comment on Solar powered personal umbrella with battery? 3 weeks ago:
A device, which is only used when it is really cloudy for photovoltaics has to be one of the dumbest ideas ever.
