- Comment on So, is the USA screwed? 1 day ago:
I dunno, the US military machine may not be that impressive for very long the way they’re going
- Comment on You have got to be kidding me... 3 weeks ago:
And we all get to suffer with it

One is the username, the other is the display name. The client can show either of them. Mine (Thunder) let’s you configure that.

The only way to stop a bad drone with a gun is a good drone with a gun…

I have to wonder if there’s anyone left who actually likes it and isn’t just there to keep in touch with someone…

Had a supervisor that if you texted back and forth with him more than twice for something, he’d call you
- Comment on *agressively keeps pressing 0* 1 month ago:
Love it when you press 0 and it just responds with “I did not understand your response, goodbye” and hangs up
- Comment on Oh well... 1 month ago:
Wow, that’s shitty of them… Like, what do you even lose for trying? They knew they were going to have to pay up if you applied, those bastards were trying to gaslight you.
I hate corpos so damned much

You can’t accept me using the time I’ve earned? Should I get approval for how I spend my paycheck too?
It wasn’t a request, I was letting you know so you can plan. See you when I get back.

According to the FSF, it’s only free if you tell people what they can do with it, but only very specific things

Holy hell, that’s actually a really good apology, and any company who would be willing to post it, even if written by LLM, would immediately gain at least some respect points from me

I mean, they’ll probably get you more than your dues cost, by a lot… So, there’s that…

Sadly, though, there are a lot of servers who do buy the lie… Doesn’t make any sense to me but I’ve seen plenty argue quite vehemently against ending tips
- Comment on Anon creates a business plan 2 months ago:
Not only that but many of them give you cash back, so if you never carry a balance (and therefore never pay interest), and don’t use it wherever they charge a credit card service fee, it’s basically a free discount almost everywhere.
- Comment on Anon creates a business plan 2 months ago:
Funny thing, we didn’t do chip and pin because the credit card companies thought we were too stupid to figure it out, in spite of the fact that we already used pins for debit cards… We now do have chip and pin, but only for bank/debit cards

Pretty sure it’s from an AI… Count the fingers on the cop behind the one lunging
- Comment on Oh no 3 months ago:
The cop in the background has 5 fingers on one hand without the thumb visible, and they look too straight to be real
Most of the rest could be perspective distortion or bad focus (or both) but not that
- Comment on Oh no 3 months ago:
I dunno, but I think step 3 is “profit”
- Comment on Oh no 3 months ago:
I legit think the cams should not be able to be turned off, footage reviewed by a third party watchdog at the end of each shift, and any instances where the cam was covered or positioned to potentially miss something explained.
Instances of cops being accused of doing something where they clearly turned off their cams, at the very least, should be treated as if the plaintiff is telling the truth by default since the cop took steps to hide potential evidence
- Comment on New mobile features are sh*t these days 3 months ago:
Yes, the reason they aren’t is they want people to buy new phones, not fix and upgrade their current ones. This is not hard to figure out.

Maybe the sand is the opposite of a non-newtonian fluid, is solid at rest but becomes basically fluid with vibration
Though I imagine sand would naturally behave this way if it isn’t packed too densely
- Comment on Publishers face 20% game revenue reduction if Denuvo DRM is cracked quickly, according to new study 4 months ago:
This. Any time paying customers get treated worse than pirates, they’re only incentivised to pirate next time. It absolutely blows my mind that corpos seem incapable of figuring that out.
