Much appreciated. Haven’t found any time to read anything, regrettably, but I have bookmarked your lists!

Part of the sign up process I went through was to copy a line from something Marx wrote (can’t remember now I’m a bad communist) to be approved for an account.
Maybe it wasn’t like that in the past but it was made clear in the sign up processs that the admins are ML communists and run their instance with those beliefs informing their moderation decisions.

Where do you draw the line?
I’m asking if its good or if its edgelord shovelware.
Have you played it?

So you’re saying this game is a work of art that will endure the ages? Worthy of hundreds of years of praise?

Horses, a first-person psychological horror adventure about “the burden of familial trauma and puritan values, the dynamics of totalitarian power, and the ethics of personal responsibility” set on a ranch where nude human beings in horse masks are treated as livestock.
Is this just a game for edgelords or is there something compelling under that mess of a description?

Have you ever woke up and felt like garbage despite not doing anything diabolical the previous night (drinking etc)? And you wondered why you felt like shit?
The answer may surprise you

This is from a Pearson online graded thing, if you don’t happen to recognize it. It probably would have taken 41/4 as a correct answer as well (IMO 40 1/4 is ambiguous, improper).
The software is more than capable of determining that 40.25=40+1/4 so its not really excusable (unless its specifically trying to teach fractions for middle schoolers or something)
That said, A lot of my calc 3 homework (multi variable calculus) in college was run by Pearson, and while it wasn’t perfect, the fact that it was autograded with multiple attempts allowed made learning the material easy. Immediate feedback is incredible.
Fuck Pearson though, honestly. This shit is expensive and it’s still got noticeable flaws. Last Pearson course I took kept trying to get me to use their shitty AI and pay extra for shit. I’m a student, not a potential customer to shake down.

George Floyd and Trayvon Martin were ordinary citizens living their lives, whose deaths were linked to (and probably caused by) oppression and racism. They never wanted national attention, certainly not for this.
Kirk was a propagandist whose speech contributed to the environment of political divisiveness, bigotry and intolerance. He was a public figure who thrived on the controversy caused by his hateful speech.
I can’t upvote this meme, it feels like false equivalence.

In a poly relationship with n members, there will be 2^n - n - 1 interpersonal relationships in play.
This is the cardinality of the power set of n, minus the number of singleton sets and the empty set.
Thought i would mention it, just in case you needed a quick way to calculate the number of relationships in ur polycule for ur therapist.

I had this problem with Pearson. I got around it by making sure my bowser (librewolf) reported windows as my user agent. This was last semester for an online intro level course, ymmv

pushes glasses up nose well actually,
Radiowaves are electromagnetic radiation (like visible light and microwaves). Sound waves are kinetic motion between air molecules. Your music radio is receiving electromagnetic waves and converting to sound waves through the radio speakers.
I’m not a biologist or a linguist but I think its perfectly reasonable to call a device that captures inaudible sound a radio. But it is different than your music radio.

Ok… but is the picture art??? I don’t think anyone would try to argue it is, even if a human drew it. Miyazaki was specifically talking about how no algorithm can produce art, and I agree.
What makes this screenshot funny is the human element, the performance! It’s all ridiculous.

Its standard practice for math equations involving spectral densities and Fourier transforms to use the testicles character for the independent variable.
Fourier analysis involves measuring the sampled strength of the signal at different points in time. Its also related to ARIMA models. Essentially, you’re inspecting how cyclical some data is, and the testies are points in time.
By the way, there is an error in this meme, see the comment left by jjagaimo

- Comment on Gimme some evidence that anyone at all in the government is pushing back on Trump with any effectiveness at all. Someone throw me a bone here. 😬 10 months ago:
The first day of his inaguration, Trump put forth an executive order that will attempt to make all federal employees Schedule F, basically, the same protections as a political appointee instead of a civil servant. This will make them basically at will employees.
DunkinCoder is correct they are also making it really awful to work for the federal government with RTO and freezing of funding. And the hiring freeze. But it’s not the complete picture, its actually much worse.
There will be court cases with federal employees trying to keep their jobs. I suspect they will fail, due to how the courts are republican controlled right now. The firings haven’t started yet. Expect them soon.
