I never took it as hate, just an acknowledgement of the simplicity of thinking about your digital watch and going “you know what? this thing is pretty neat!”
that being said it’s been a while since I read the books so maybe I’m misremembering some serious digital watch hate from later on.
personally I think my Casio is pretty neat and I also am unhappy for pretty much of the time, largely due to the movements of small green pieces of paper :)

Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun.
Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape- descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.
This planet has – or rather had – a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn’t the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.
And so the problem remained; lots of the people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches.

incorrect, “they” can be singular or plural. that’s not even a recent “woke mind virus” change to the language, it’s always been the case.
you literally did gender her immediately when you said “guy … his” the appropriate thing to do would be to respect the pronouns she put on her profile when they were pointed out to you.

saying “straight guys” here gives me the implication that you think it isn’t straight for a cis guy to date a trans gal, which is transphobic. hoping that’s just me reading it wrong or you expressing it wrong though.
to answer the question at hand though none of my trans friends would want to date someone who “would murder them if they ‘tricked them’”
maybe there are a few trans people interested in tricking transphobes into having sex with them but that sounds extremely dangerous per that comment before…

oh huh ok that was the only thing that made any sense but it seemed like a weird context for that term.
to answer the question I think it really depends on the person but I wouldn’t wanna go on a hike with anon, that’s for sure.

- Comment on Until Dawn Remake Is Being Criticized For Looking "Way Worse" Than The Original 3 months ago:
hahaha it’s gotten called “already dawn” or “after dawn” a lot because they shifted it from cool lighting (that looks like the middle of the night lit by moonlight) to warm lighting (that looks like evening or morning light) so I thought “night and day” was a nod to that. the graphical fidelity is a lot better, but it wasn’t even bad in the original and the mood shift caused by the lighting change seems very unbefitting of the story and it also seems like they’ve cut idle animations? which is an insane choice the characters seem so dull and lifeless without them

does them adding new content somehow detract from your ability to do whatever it was you liked to do before said content was added?
“I hate that expansions are provided at no additional cost, and also it costs too much” is kinda one of the wildest takes on the game I’ve ever heard ngl

- Comment on Corporate greed is killing RuneScape. What do people play instead? 3 months ago:
example 1 is from a year ago, 2 is new so it may still be a thing but likely something they’ve already dealt with and 3 is from “someone close to CVC” how on earth are you gonna take that as fact?
from mod ayiza’s response to that 3rd one:
"To give some context in the form of data, here are some ban stats:
Last year we banned over 6.9 million accounts.
So far in 2024, each week on average, we ban over 2,300 RuneScape accounts.
So far in 2024, each week on average, we ban over 67,000 Old School RuneScape accounts.
Of these accounts, 2,800 are for botting popular boss-related content.
Each week, around 1.5T GP is removed from the RuneScape economy.
Each week, around 900B GP is removed from the Old School RuneScape economy. "
they’re playing wack-a-mole because there’s no possible way to preemptively ban bots, but they’ve done a good job of it and will continue to.
- Comment on Corporate greed is killing RuneScape. What do people play instead? 3 months ago:
they’ve done a really good job culling the bots in osrs, imo the biggest hurdle in it is the long boring grinds it takes to get to midgame pvm where it starts getting really really fun.
I’d also say that if you think rs3 is the default game you are very mistaken
graph of percentage of RuneScape accounts playing osrs
osrs has been the more popular game by far for almost a decade now.
