Honestly don’t even know what llms are doing amymore.

I used my works co pilot to find a list of format agnostic mac addresses in a table, it said it found all but one, then said “actually no, they are all here, here are the full results.”

I have found exactly one use case so far that an LLM and almost no other tool is suited for.

I was given a list of some 20000 businesses info for marketing and they all have categories. There were a total of 400 categories. Each one needed what amounted to a “vibe score” based on how relevant it was to our business.

Sure, it might have a few wrong, but for the occasional wrong one, worst case is a bad contact. Dramatically faster than doing it by hand and likely better at generating the scores with less bias than a human.

I hated the entire process and the fact that the results were a resounding success.

LLMs are a tool just like any other. There are tasks they can be useful, and others that they’re not.

The problem is that corporations and others are trying to force it down our throats in every single place as possible in their maddening quest to get a return in their investments.

As someone who had to work in sales for a bit - sure it works for that. Soulless tool for a soulless task.

Hmm, thats odd, seems like traditional sentiment scoring. I did that in CS 101 decades ago.

To be fair, I think a robot that thinks like a human would find poop really funny

I mean this with all sincerity, people out there on the Internet truly believe that current LLM AI is “basically” AGI.

if you mean days on which people poop, then all 7 days. If you mean the letters in the names, it’s 0.
