- Comment on Fewer People Playing Fortnite Is Just One of Epic's Many Problems, Analysts Say 1 hour ago:
Few ppl did fortnite save the world launched in steam deck shame only in private server or with some kind of kernel patch for the live version
- Comment on Video game PEGI age-ratings are changing in Europe from June. Four new categories added to tackle elements of addictive design, unmonitored online communication and loot boxes 2 weeks ago:
Minecraft has chat moderation/reporting by default and always on in Bedrock, so unless pressed about unmoderated servers it looks good from outside. More of hassle for smaller devs, for whom the line is not clear between adding the just block/report/disable chat options or 1984 surveillance to pass it
- Comment on As Fortnite Enables Third-Party Microtransactions, Steal the Brainrot's Developer is Slammed By Fans For Immediately Adding $45 Premium Bundles and Gambling-Style Mechanics 2 months ago:
It started with having a pretty scummy loot box monetization, with plans to bring game to f2p(br was always the f2p it does not count). All they got few slaps in 2018-2021 and removed loot boxes as a result. This is not new thing for them, they already knew what they were setting up

- Comment on Ex-PlayStation boss says the games industry is "littered" with Fortnite clones and "people trying to do Overwatch with different skins," but keep dreaming if you're just trying to get "big sacks of money" 5 months ago:
Why tf fortnite keeps getting called “lootbox nightmare” around here despite
- There never were lootboxes in br
- Lootboxes being gone for like 6 years already
- Already slapped for using lootboxes when they were active
- Comment on Epic Games just won its antitrust lawsuit against Google again 7 months ago:
The money that funds these exclusivity deals, and your free games, are being funded majorly by selling gambling lootboxes to kids.
How the hell they would make so much money from gambling while not offering it in any first party games? Or the 12% from gacha like games is enough to fuel the entire game shop nowadays?
- Comment on PC gamers spend 92% of their time on older games, oh and there are apparently 908 million of us now 1 year ago:
CS was paid, Dota and Fortnite had “early access” packs before being released. Yeah fortnite is the odd one out here with keeping early access stuff to seperate ganemode and still costing money, but was originally planned to transition to f2p.

3/5 games from that list also launched as paid games, but gained majority of its players after becoming f2p. Yeah people love free stuff ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
