  I saw Limp Bizkit and Cypress Hill at a free show in Chicago around 2000. Everyone, EVERYONE was there for Cypress Hill. When LB played they were booed thoroughly. At one point, for some reason, Durst decided to crowd surf. He returned to the stage with no shoes and no hat, cursed at the crowd, and stormed offstage. After a few minutes of confusion “Hits From The Bong” started, Cypress Hill took the stage and started hitting an 8 foot bong, while performing. Order was restored.

    I liked RATM for a while before I really noticed what their music was about. Insane to me in retrospect, as there’s nothing subtle about their message.

      I was really worried that this was going to end with “I don’t like them because they got political” and I’m glad it didn’t.

      I wish I could say that it was just a meme, but I’ve literally had conversations where I have had to ask some brainless chud what machine he thought they were raging against, or what forces they thought might have been the ones burning crosses.

    I love Wes, but I don’t think any music he made outside of LB was good. Blacklight Burns, maybe. Big Dumb Face was an art pieces for sure.
