- Comment on 'Star Trek': Holly Hunter Teases 'Starfleet Academy' Season 2 After Cancellation 7 hours ago:
I get where you’re coming from with the “give it chance” vibe, but the writing for STA was so shockingly bad right out of the gate, so directionless, weird, and scattershot, I don’t think giving it more time would be doing anyone any favors.
And now, knowing that they produced seasons 1 and 2 back to back, we’d have to endure an entire season 2 of this before we saw any improvement.

It’s 2026. I can literally say, “hey Siri order me a chocolate cake” and a chocolate cake will be delivered to me in 15 to 20 minutes.

I know. It was a joke.
But, at least for now, ai doesn’t really do anything, either, at least not anything particularly meaningful. It’s a McGuffin for billionaires to slush money around and profit from others investing in bunk stock. They’re making trillions in a gigantic pump and dump scheme, and right before the bubble bursts, they’re gonna cash out and fuck off leaving everyone else to get screwed

Yeah, I remember that. Thanks, I remember that because I was a teenager when that was in the neighbors, and people were like “whatever”

Hmmm… I think it needs to be something with more ‘bite’. “Musking it up” sounds like a 90s sitcom dad-move. Like something Tim Allen might have tried on Home Improvement.

Yeah, when I’m traveling, the one thing I need to be rock solid reliable is the place that I’m staying. I can’t constantly have some anxiety about some bullshit shenanigans with that. No thank you

I’ve never stayed in an Airbnb, and after everything I’ve read online, I can’t think of a compelling reason to.

Add black plus was pretty good, but it could leak from time to time with YouTube ads. Sometimes needed a little extra to make sure you got everything on YouTube.

Yes, interesting. I see that it got forked a few years back into something called Blink. I didn’t realize that.

Those are all just WebKit-based browsers, which is Safari, too

I remember, like a decade ago, you used to have to install a whole bunch of different extensions to fill them all out. Now it’s one extension, and it pretty much comes perfectly configured right out of the box. You don’t even need to fiddle with it.
I’ve practically forgotten that ads exist.

I have no obligations for the rest of the day. I’m currently vacillating between making coffee and do not making coffee before I go and play cyberpunk 2077 for the rest of the day.
