  I have friends who roll tubes in their preamps, on 9ntherwise modern systems, so yes, I remember yesterday when I was at a friends house.

    You’re not old then. I’m old and have had a multitude of different electronic equipment with different types of tubes in them. From radios to amps to TVs to oscilloscopes.

  I really thought vacuum tubes from the back of a TV would explode if I threw them at the back of the garage. I unsuccessfully applied this logic to many areas of early life.
