I have tried the vertical keyboard setup but I quickly found it painful to keep my wrists off the desk (plus the two sides kept sliding…). How do you manage?

At the bottom of the photo, there are two wrist rests I built out of some spare wood and a wrist rest off of Amazon that I cut in half with a saw and then stitched/glued closed so it doesn’t look like hell.
The keyboard halves are stuck to some phone stands using an adhesive Magsafe ring, and the stands are stuck down to the black steel plate with some flat magnets and grippy silicone. The entire thing breaks down in seconds and I can store it to bring to the office. The steel plate is the most annoying thing to transport.

For those with wrist and forearm pain they may vertical mice. My wife and I converted to them and they eliminated my pain completely.

Switched a year or two ago and wanted one at work so I bought one for there too! They would have bought me one but very likely it would have cost a ton and sucked ass compared to my cheap $30 Zelotes vertical mouse. It’s been a game changer!

Trackballs work for me. I use them almost exclusively. I just use a normal mouse for one system usually.

Going back in our very long human history there are probably more instances where a person held a rat like in the pic above than where a person was using a mouse like below. Therefore holding a rat is more natural. As a former owner of a pet rat, but also a modern computer user, my usage ratio of rat/mouse is probably something like 5/95 at this point while skewing towards the situation pictured below.

I have never had a problem with a normal mouse and keyboard. It is all the ergonomic ones that tire me out, or make me uncomfortable.

Apologies, genuienly, even though I’m just a fanboy for this thing.
Like I’ve … I’ve literally begged this company to diversify and expand from this mouse model.
I suggested they do like a more expensive ‘gamer’ version that has a higher polling rate, a left handed version, maybe figure out how to do swappable body kit parts to dial in the kind of grip you want.
I genuienly do not understand how they can make and sell this thing at $30. Nothing comparable exists in that price range, that I am aware of.
They’re sitting on an incredible design they could potentially expand on.

Ah, no, vertical only.
Ok, I just futzed around with the thing…
You can, apparently, bind a button to ‘Horizontal Scroll’, and what that does is make it so when that button is pressed, the mouse wheel now scrolls horizontally.
… I didn’t even know it could do that lol.
Not sure if that meets your requirements.

Not that I am immediately aware of no, not from this company.
Personally I’m not a trackball guy, not to knock it as a concept, I’ve tried and used a few… I just don’t know much about em.
