Don’t expect members of my profession to track down the story. We’re too busy listening to Donald Trump berate NATO, lie about his investments, revive the Red Scare and call Iranian leaders “scum,” while at the same time declaring we’ve defeated Iran in a war everyone believes we shouldn’t have started in the first place. (For those keeping track, Trump has claimed he has ended the conflict close to 40 times. I can’t count how often he’s “completely obliterated” the Islamic Republic’s military, even though they keep firing missiles and sending drones against us.)

  This would never have happened if Biden didn’t rig the election. He made it so Trump won and all this pain and exposure is the result. Damn dirty dems.

    The establishment democrats tried to rig the election. It wasn’t sloppy voter fraud. They tried to pick their candidate with Harris (after already forcing us to vote for Biden the first time). It was clear in 2020 that the most popular candidate was Bernie. They just made sure to have 20 other primary candidates with different enough edge issues that it kept the vote split.
    
    As soon as I heard Biden’s back then I knew we were fucked. That the democrats were just good cop. Biden proved it when he sided with the railroad companies during the workers strike.
    
    And he proved it again when he dropped out after the 2024 primaries and endorsed Kamila.
    
    It was bullshit then and its still bullshit now and we all remember it.

The simple reason why the facts aren’t known is that the American public doesn’t care enough to tune in, or at least those who run the media corporations don’t think the American public cares. Put another way: There’s no money in it.

I’m not convinced the motives of the media companies are profit driven these days. But it’s hard to argue against the perspective of a journalist.

    Money gets you media companies. Media companies get you power. Which gets you money…
    
    I guess my point was that I don’t really think these decisions are motivated by increasing profit to the media companies. That they’re happy to take a loss in this one investment to further their other goals.

I have to wonder, when it’s Donald’s time to ghost America, will the GOP ghost him like they’ve done to Mitch, or will they continue to fawn over his bloated corpse? Do they drag this failing administration out past the breaking point, or do they immediately try to snatch the scepter?

Major media is complicit. They are doing the Epstein class’s bidding by Gaslighting Obstructing and Projecting.

  Media is owned by the Epstein class.
  
  This wasn’t always true. But after the consolidations and mergers the last 40 years, there are now very few media companies.
  
  And most of the ownership is by those who need investigating the most themselves

I was there in the olden times when “the news” came on at 6p and 11p and could be trusted.

I was there when if someone told you blatant disinformation (we called them urban legends) there was no way to check it.

I was there when people paid money out of their own pockets for newspapers and magazines.

“News” today is no different than YouTubers and TikTokers trying to get views so they can get ad revenue. The more sensational but believable, the better.

We did this to ourselves. I haven’t paid for any news since whatever the last time was that I bought a magazine or a newspaper, but it was not this decade, that’s for sure.

There’s literally nothing left on this here “Information Superhighway” other than disinformation and ads. That’s the only revenue stream there is for “the news” anymore. We’ve incentivized disinformation. We did this.

These media failures have existed for the majority of the past 40-50 years. It wasn’t so brazen but they’ve been lying for decades.
