    Very proud of my kids right now. They just watched Terminator 2 all the way through and paid attention the whole time. It goes for two and a half hoursbut they were attentive/asking questions/getting emotional. Shows you just can’t beat a good movie

      RIP Moorabbin donut factory. I can’t remember if you were Donut King or Mr Donut but the banana custard with nutmeg was great.

      RIP cheap Colesworth cinnamon donuts. Seems like pricey krispy creams have taken over. I don’t like them. They’re neither krispy or creamy.

    Back to melbs today.

    Clothesline moved and in! Certainly won’t be able to dig that out again. base is probably 100+ish kgs at this point and 70cm down.

    Didn’t fk myself up or hit a pipe when digging so big success! I would like to pat myself on the back but it was honestly pointless. it was fine where it was. Did it as a favour for the p’s but I know what will happen. When ol’ girl comes down the first thing she’ll do is complain, want it a foot to the north and use the dryer instead 🙃

    Daughter and her beau broke up. We’re ‘dating’ for a bit, made it official…and like a week later it’s over.

    Daughter is a bit sad but not too bad.

    I’ve already offered to pay the lad a visit for a ‘friendly and constructive exchange of productive ideas’.

    My son offered to drive there, to get his learner’s hours up, and to physically assist.

    Daughter declined the offer.

    saw an interesting minor altercation at the savers op shop

    a sales assistant came t the jewellery section to put more stock on display , then after a few minutes she exploded, telling a young woman to back away, to give her some space,

    apparently the young woman had been closely following her for 30 minutes, checking out all the items that had been set out very quickly before anyone else could see them, she had a basket of stuff, she looked like a reseller, she had her phone out to check items

    reseller then complains that the assistant was being racist, why didn’t the assistant tell the other shoppers to back away

    well, another shopper said we were giving the assistant room and also the assistant said you were following her around , so no, there is no racism and it’s not cool to call people racist The reseller was so angry, she just couldn’t see how she had been harassing the assistant

    You would think it would be wise as a reseller to get on good terms with staff.
