It seems people were willing to overlook adults r@p!ng kids when Cheeto Benito was making their 401(k)s go burrrrr. Now can we get some people in jail or at least fired.
Maybe people should show up and vote for people who want a functioning system instead of the clowns running the show? Too bad the candidates aren’t perfect so we need to stay home and SeNd A mEsSaGe and let the fucking clowns win.
Even if (big if) the Dems win this year it’s going to be like a 52 to 48 " landslide" . Then they will fix nothing and maybe punish 1 or 2 people but not address the principal cause, in the name of “unity”.
Then you get to roll the dice again on 8 years but likely with someone a little more clever than the Dorito bonito.
That attitude is part of the problem. Because it’s always going to be razor thin margins when you only show up when the problem is already present. Until people start consistently showing up and and show people on the real left can win, we’re constantly going to be doing this.
Every cycle we decide to hold our votes to SeNd A mEsSaGe pushes us further and further to the right, which makes people rely on stupid purity politics arguments (like we saw in 16 and 24) that’s just the biggest footgun in our arsenal.
Why are you worried about that when the Dow Jones is dropping so fast!? We need to be worried about the financial crisis!

As much as I realize this is the shitpost community, you shouldn’t be looking at the stock market on less than a 10 year timeframe. There’s always going to be some impending disaster, some correction. The only people this affects are those near retirement who are still heavily invested in equities, which already is a bad strategy.

No you can’t. Because impeachment would mean a semi-functioning US political system. It doesn’t function anymore, because you have got a dictatorship, and the only people who seem to be slow in grasping this are the Americans themselves.
