- Comment on Analysts Say Video Game Hardware Isn't Getting Cheaper Anytime Soon 23 hours ago:
It is not just pricing, it is also that they will become less and less available in the future. All by design of the hardware manufacturers, who wants you to rent computers, and not own your own personal one.
They are creating artificial scarcity by simply stopping production of consumergrade hardware. Prices will not ease after 2029 unless the bubble has popped and those companies gone under, because that would undermine their plans. On the contrary new consumer grade hardware will simply cease to exist.

Yeah, the ship of legalism has long since sailed. It is sad to see how so many in the US has apparently not realised this yet. It is not about laws or the constitution or anything like that. They now strictly do shit because noone is stopping them, regardless of what it is.

Sure, but he is doing all this for the corporation oligarch overlords. They are the ones benefiting from all this (Trump takes his cut of course), and they will want to keep benefiting after he dies.

I don’t think giving the police more surveillance options is the best option. The main problem is the extreme militarisation of the US police. This amount of force is a ridiculous response to almost any likely scenario they would have encountered.

Devs were incentivised to write more efficient, leaner code because resources were expensive.
AI are the devs now. And efficient code is probably the last thing they are known for doing.

The post is referring to american protestant denominations like baptists, evangelicals, presbyterian, etc. as opposed to capital P Protestant churches.
They are all capital P Protestant denominations.

The Anglican church is technically also a Protestant church.

The active drug part of the plant is the resin found at the flowers of the female hemp plant, created during pollination season. There is neglible amounts of THC in the rest of the plant, as in basically nothing. So you would only get high if you smoked that particular part of the plant, not the rest. So sailors could have saved on tobacco by using the dried leaves of the harvested hemp plants they imported for rope, but it wouldn’t have made them stoned in the slightest.

The point is Trump will never do anything that isn’t for deeply personal reasons. And he would never do anything solely to save money on the budget, he doesn’t care about that at all. So either he does this out of pure spite, because it is a “liberal” thing, or more likely he does it because he has been bribed by whatever industries are eager to turn all that forest into shortsighted profit.
- Comment on The Struggle 2 months ago:
It does seem like the “drink more water” propaganda which has gripped the US for many years now, has been an extremely succesful campaign for getting more Americans to lessen their sugary drink intake in favour of water. That is objectively a good thing.
The downside is all the Americans preaching to everyone else in the world on the internet about it, even though most of us already didn’t drink excessive amounts of sugary drinks.

More like “criminally insane”, because as already been pointed out, US presidents dabbling in a bit of criminality has not been uncommon at all. He is probably the only extremely low intelligence pathologically narcissistic president though.
Even Bush jr. was a literaly genius compared to Trump, and, despite at lot of attempts at retconning him as a smart man these days, he was in fact not very intelligent.
