The adherence to one type of cup is the weird thing. Most other places it seems there are many different types of cups, so there wouldn’t really be any trope about a particular cup.
- Comment on French retailer mocks €1039 Steam Machine with “Stim Machine” RX 9060 XT PC for €999 5 days ago:
The tear-down GamersNexus did of the Steam cube showed that a lot of very good engineering has gone into designing it so that not only does it run smoothly and without overheating despite its compact shape, it is also relatively easy to access all components and repairability is high.
Just a shame they had to settle for subpar components on account of the AI cartel.

No it doesn’t. The r in croissant is a very pronounced r sound. It is just English speakers pronouncing it wrong who thinks it resembles a w more.

- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
Difficult to say because he has always been incredibly stupid, and his pathological narcissism hinders him in having an attention span for anything that doesn’t involve him being the center of attention. If he has dementia we wouldn’t really be able to tell until he reaches a more serious crippling phase, such as with non-verbalism or similar, because has always been an incoherent rambler.
He definitely is getting old with the naps and shitting himself.
- Comment on Why doesn't the reflecting pool just use an automated strainer on it, that would run about every six hours, like a mechanical pool cleaner? Instead of paying 15 mil just for a bunch to clean? 1 week ago:
It should be mentioned that what they did was totally unnecessary. Trump wanted to paint the pool blue so it resembles the swimming pools he is used to at his McMansion in Floradia, and that was what he paid an associate of his 17 mil to do.
All of this is caused by Trump making a stupid, corrupt and costly decision, which pretty much sums up all of his life. It is not part of how the pool is usual serviced.

- Comment on Analysts Say Video Game Hardware Isn't Getting Cheaper Anytime Soon 3 weeks ago:
It is not just pricing, it is also that they will become less and less available in the future. All by design of the hardware manufacturers, who wants you to rent computers, and not own your own personal one.
They are creating artificial scarcity by simply stopping production of consumergrade hardware. Prices will not ease after 2029 unless the bubble has popped and those companies gone under, because that would undermine their plans. On the contrary new consumer grade hardware will simply cease to exist.

Yeah, the ship of legalism has long since sailed. It is sad to see how so many in the US has apparently not realised this yet. It is not about laws or the constitution or anything like that. They now strictly do shit because noone is stopping them, regardless of what it is.
- Comment on Can't prove environmental issues if you don't have the data 4 weeks ago:
Sure, but he is doing all this for the corporation oligarch overlords. They are the ones benefiting from all this (Trump takes his cut of course), and they will want to keep benefiting after he dies.

- Comment on An 82-year-old YouTuber grandma was raided by police and SWATs during her live stream last night where she plays Minecraft to raise money for her grandsons cancer. Authorities brought 20 police cars 1 month ago:
I don’t think giving the police more surveillance options is the best option. The main problem is the extreme militarisation of the US police. This amount of force is a ridiculous response to almost any likely scenario they would have encountered.
- Comment on 60% of PC gamers have no plans to build a new PC in the next two years — AI pricing crunch on RAM and other components paralyze enthusiast market 1 month ago:
Devs were incentivised to write more efficient, leaner code because resources were expensive.
AI are the devs now. And efficient code is probably the last thing they are known for doing.
