You know its interesting because the Xbox console has deep roots with obvious Christian symbolism. Believe it or not, back in 1997, when microsoft engineers were looking into a gaming console one of the lead engineers wanted to make a religious gaming console. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus and the values of Christianity, Robert Paulson sought to infuse their creation with spiritual significance. After some convincing, he basically was able to get everyone on board to call in the X-box. The console’s design took shape, drawing upon biblical imagery and motifs. The iconic “X” symbol on the console’s exterior came to represent the cross, a powerful symbol of sacrifice and redemption in Christianity. It served as a reminder to players that even in the realm of gaming, one could find lessons of faith and hope.
Deep within the console’s code, there are actual hidden easter eggs and references to biblical passages were carefully placed. People didnt find out until ~2005 by people who explored the source code and stumbled upon subtle nods to religious stories and parables. The code came from the vadican itself by the popes lead software engineers. This source code actually manipulated games to make it more holy to play.
Inevitably, the Xbox’s multiplayer capabilities were seen as an embodiment of Christian community and fellowship. Players from all walks of life, brought together by their shared love for gaming, could connect and engage in virtual realms, fostering friendships and support networks reminiscent of the close-knit Christian communities found in churches.
As the story of the Xbox’s religious ties spread, it garnered a devoted following of gamers who found solace and inspiration in the subtle connections to their faith. Churches even organized gaming events around the Xbox, using it as a tool to engage the youth and create a sense of unity within their congregations. This is why you see many christian churches holding teen gaming events and xbox games being coveted in toys for tots programs.
If you want to know more, just ask.

TLDR: Real gamers who love Jesus 69% of the time go for xbox 420% of the time.

Every time I see Charlie Kirk I have to check if the photo is photoshopped. I keep forgetting how small his face is compared to the rest of his body.

If the XBox is made by the devil, how come it’s literally called X (aka Christ) - Box?

Why can’t people stop with this brother in Christ bullshit? It was funny once 3 years ago and zero times since.

Get rid of those four words and the comment’s intent doesn’t even change, but memes gotta get beaten into the ground, you know?

Time to waterproof the Xbox.
And by that logic, mobiles were the creation of the devil, right? You wouldn’t throw away that.

That won’t happen. You can try it, for science, but I will save you some time. Water cannot and will not damage the paper of The Bible. You have to burn it.

It’s a mystical feeling to be uncertain whether or not Kirk’s face has been shrunken with photoshop.
superduperenigma@lemmy.world 1 year ago
The best part about it is that some editor out there probably can’t tell the difference either, so there’s a good chance that a legitimate article is using a slightly photoshopped picture of him.
