so kids get given shitpads running an even more locked down version of microshit’s OS and they’re not allowed to install anything else, plus they’ll spend more time consuming on their phones than producing on computers because the laptops are more locked down than phones.
fucking great job idiots, can’t wait for digital literacy to fall through the floor

- Comment on Question 🙋: best public transport app for Australia or Melbourne? 1 month ago:
probably google maps unfortunately
you can use the local public transport agency’s app (e.g. PTV app for melbourne) but google maps works equally well and works for all of them
Under the hood Google maps uses GTFS (General transit feed specification) data for live transit routing, and there’s no reason other foss apps couldn’t use it but they’re not just implemented at the moment

sorry for spez site but here you go
I use PLA all the time and I get that it degrades in sunlight, but every fucking plastic does. Degradation isn’t decomposition and you can still enjoy 3D printing while understanding that it’s not 100% environment friendly
- Comment on Everytime i come across a 3d printing post 1 month ago:

bruh he had a fan not running? how do you not realise that
that makes sense ig
- Comment on linus tech tip 2 months ago:
You know that feeling where someone seems to know what they’re doing in an area you don’t know a lot about, so you trust what they say, and then they cover an area you do know a lot about and you realize they never knew what they were doing, they just knew more than you and how to make it look good?
This is so true, I have a few strong interests in random things that aren’t very applicable to real life, but they tend to reveal these people really clearly.

yeah it’s just a content farm at this point, they clearly don’t give much shits about the quality of the content
