I’m old enough to get this reference

Isn’t he able to beam you up but leave the shit behind even if it’s still on you?
Stovetop@lemmy.world 10 months ago
Can get beamed up, shit and all, but rematerialized from the pattern buffer without shit.
And then the extra matter from the unrestored shit will get repurposed by the replicators for tonight’s dinner.

That’s simply the circle of shit.

In the official TNG technical manual there’s a diagram of the enterprise that shows there’s a bathroom right around the corner from the door to the bridge. What’s unclear is if it’s only for number 1.

Maybe that’s how all toilets work in startrek, je beam the shit or piss out.

Well in Star Trek they do talk about biofilters, so you might be on to something.
Maybe it’s the one option you cross that nobody wants to talk about.
In TNG I remember actually seeing a toilet only twice and Borg stole the other one.

Can you use beaming up as a pulling out tecnique?

“He beamed me twice last night”

Ups. My finger slipped.

That’s not how beaming works, this was written by a non trekkie. There wouldn’t be a line just a slow fade as the ink in the marker is transported.

Second thoughts: “Could Scotty prevent fertilisation with a beam?”
