If I had a nickel for every time an Ex-Blizzard employee turned out to be a scamming gooner, I’d have two nickels and wonder when I’d get a third

This individual is a grifter as well as being a grown man that solicits donations from minors.

Did you watch a different video than I did?

Pirate Software has a lot of haters because he acts like a know it all and gets into arguments with people. I’m sensing people are just downvoting this video because it’s him and don’t care that in it he says pricing games at $80+ is pure greed from corporate studios that will likely tank the games industry.

I agree with his points about the $80 dollar games not being a sustainable price point, especially in places like Australia or Brazil which suffer from higher game prices! This is a stupid move on the part of Nintendo…It’s made me rethink buying their Switch 2 as a result. I will wait and see if they have a moment of clarity which derails this bad decision. If they don’t, I hope the market slaps them in the face and buys games that are reasonably priced!

I don’t think he has a great understanding of Australian prices.
The current SMW price of $120 looks high but if you remove our GST and convert to USD with the average exchange rate over the last 12 months its equivalent to $70.85.
We are currently at a low point with our dollar so the conversion rate today would be $66.49.
Compared to the prices I’m seeing internationally it looks like Australia is getting relatively generous prices from Nintendo.

Fuck pirate software, he derailed the conversation of stopkillinggames with his disingenuous straw man arguments.
He’s one of the most pretentious fucks I’ve seen.

Oh shit. Actually I completely forgot about that. I really didn’t like his takes on that …
I think he was arguing that it was going to be hugely costly to the developer to keep games running after the fact and how difficult it was going to be. I really wanted to give him a fair shake but it really did feel full of straw man stuff because the stopkillinggames stuff wasn’t really about that.
