Yea yea birds aren’t real we all know that. But have you ever gotten really close to a bird? Like close enough to tell if it has dimension? NO. OBVIOUSLY BIRDS ARE FLAT!

It’s useful as a navigational aid, if you’re lost in the woods keeping an eye open for straight lines, especially horizontal, is a good way of finding man made structures and potentially a way out. Beyond that, on a micro scale nature loves perfect geometry.

Horses are like the ultimate fascist’s enemy, powerful and fragile at the same time.
They really are glass cannons though. When I was young I watched a bird land on the paddock rail, a horse who was standing right there didn’t notice, turned a little and saw it, JUMPED WITH ALL 4 LEGS straight up and broke one when it landed. What the fuck!?

They probably have a well, this no water company. My water is crazy high in iron and manganese, our softener needs to be replaced and a new filter needs to be installed before we can drink from our well. Pain in the ass but at least all our grey water is cost of pumping electricity only.

Presenting as a truck driving blue collar good ole boy before subtly bringing up how much we lose to income tax while the wealthy pay next to nothing is my technique. If they defend the wealthy they’re lost to the boot polish, but that’s pretty uncommon in my experience.

I guess the difference between B&E and burgalry is the intent to commit a secondary crime inside, which is typically theft, thus the common confusion.

They face charges including burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, trespass and disorderly conduct, according to the BBC’s US partner CBS.
What exactly did they burgal?

Or you could just make an effort to be more kind instead of telling people who are having a hard time to get lost…
You exemplified the attitude I was talking about in a single sentence.

Hell, DC in the tourist sense is only a small part of the city. You could just as easily make the companion to the Capitol area vs some neighborhood in the north part of the city.

Lemmy is starting to really tire me out with constant negativity. The niche comms I sub to are mostly quiet, and the big ones it seems like everyone is at each other’s throats.
This was a joke, in shitposts. I thought it was worth a chuckle, but not really worth dissection and all the negative energy.

Dude, I love “good ole boy” camo. When I’m working I drive a big F350 filled with shovels and rakes and implements of destruction, wear boots and work pants, and generally blend into the blue collar landscape of semi rural Maine. And it’s so fun to watch somebody’s face change when they realize I don’t hate trans people or Mexicans or libruls, and even better when it dawns on them that I in fact, think they’re the disgusting ones.

Brother you are cooked in your own juices. The fediverse is by far the most accepting and diverse large social platform I am aware of. And for somebody from ML to accuse the rest of us of being intolerant is a real hoot. Spin up a new profile on a less psychotic instance and people might be willing to engage with you.

You’re a fucking idiot. But you seem to be in very good company here. The fact that you don’t register that it’s not even specifically Steven Tyler we’re talking about; but the difference between a minor that wants to have sex with an adult willingly (which is the hang up I think), regardless of legality, and a person of any age being physically or otherwise forces or coerces an unwilling participant into sexual acts. Yes, both situations are bad things. No, they are not equivalent. That’s what my first comment said, I have repeated it multiple times, other people with first hand experience have added their two cents. It’s ultimately up to you to rub a few neurons together long enough to process a rational argument and not responding emotionally. Have a nice evening.
