- Comment on I'm pretty sure all of us have given up on any boomer giving us anything anyway 11 hours ago:
How? “Missing out” means you’re the one who is negatively impacted. It also says and Gen Z. Not sure how that could be interpreted otherwise.

- Comment on Why did the first people to settle in very cold climates decide to settle in such a harsh climate? 3 weeks ago:
Competing with ice and snow is often far less stressful, dangerous, and depressing than competing with other humans and tons of other species.
- Comment on Chrome’s New War: Killing Ad Blockers 3 weeks ago:
But why would an ad company want to block ad blockers? That makes no sense…

If the flipper bought your home, renovated it, and sold it to make a profit, then there are people who could have just bought the same home for cheaper (what the flipper paid) and paid the same as the flipper. They’re just middlemen.
- Comment on Why does it seem most people, mainly conservatives, against Trans people? Unless I am wrong I never heard of one shooting up a school church or whatever. The ones I have met have been pretty cool. 4 weeks ago:

They’re people, just like the rest of us. Some are great, some are not.

- Comment on Killing every screwworm would be the best thing humanity ever did | Kevin Esvelt 1 month ago:
I don’t get it. Screw worms devouring animals alive is extremely painful, so we should eradicate them? The process of any animal eating another is basically always excruciating and fucked up.
- Comment on For my fellow Americans, when is enough enough? 1 month ago:
We should give people tax breaks if they vote.

- Comment on What is your pet peeve in 2024? 1 month ago:
People putting out buckets of candy for Halloween instead of handing it out at the door. No more social interaction or tradition. Just grab free candy and go.
- Comment on Hypothetical: Can a person "citizen's arrest" themself? And if so, how (and why) would that even work? 1 month ago:
If you citizens arrested yourself then the criminal would also be holding the arrester hostage.
- Comment on Has "Self-Driving" devolved? 2 months ago:
Probably, because it’s simpler. Driving on a highway is way less complex of a task than driving in cities.

- Comment on Ok so coffee is made from coffee beans. And beans are *also* made from beans. Why is nobody making, like, black bean coffee? 3 months ago:
So if it’s not a bean, what is it? It’s not the fruit, so is it the seed?
- Comment on Why 🤷♂️ do users 👨💻 dislike 👎 the use ✅ of emojis 😀 on Lemmy 🐭? 3 months ago:
One thing I really hate is when people use that clap emoji between every word to try to solidify what they’re saying.
Doing that, or saying “full stop”, etc. doesn’t make me trust what you’re saying more. Explain why what you’re saying is correct. Use logic and sources.
- Comment on What kind of laptop should I get? 4 months ago:
I have both models and they’re fantastic. Perfect for second hand, too, since you can modularly upgrade and maintain them.
- Comment on Why not serve fried chicken on Juneteenth? How is it different from serving corned beef on St. Patrick’s day? 5 months ago:
IDK, the National Museum of African American History serves fried chicken every day, so they don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.
- Comment on What would happen if everyone moved there money from traditional private banks to credit unions/ coop banks 5 months ago:
IDK why people are interpreting your question about the mechanics of everyone switching at the same time. It sounds to me like you’re asking more about the bigger picture problems it would solve with society, not whether the sudden change would be able to be handled by the banks. Is that what you’re looking for?

This should 100% be illegal.
- Comment on What do you do with Nazi memorabilia? 6 months ago:
It wasn’t clear to me from the post that it isn’t genuine. I interpreted the post to mean that it wasn’t famous in some way, just a standard issue dagger, but that it wasn’t a reproduction.
