How is supply and demand legal? Or investing in realestate instead of the market should be illegal? Or am I missing something all together like the pictures being AI or something cuz I can never tell but those two posting look fake as fuck so I apologize if I’m way off cue here. You didn’t really provide much context.

Because our economic system is capitalism.
This is literally how it’s all supposed to work.
If you want real estate to be different, you’ll need to get the government to pick something else (for at least this industry)

What, house flipping?

Yeah, all they’re doing is refurbishing a house. Sure, the goal is to make a profit and, in theory, it drives up the average cost but it’s not comparable to landlording.

I never would have been able to sell my dad’s house if it wasn’t for a flipper. It needed tons of work and there was no way I could afford to do what needed to be done to make it sellable.
What should be illegal is owning more than two houses. I work for a bunch of millionaires and all of them own at least 3. One even owns 8 homes!

If the flipper bought your home, renovated it, and sold it to make a profit, then there are people who could have just bought the same home for cheaper (what the flipper paid) and paid the same as the flipper. They’re just middlemen.

Because of capitalism and people would do anything they have to to survive in this system.
I mean when an average job pays so shit and works you to death with no benefits, you can’t really blame people for flipping houses.
Blame the system.

You want to ban private sales? Are you for real or do you work for the MLS?

It’s about using houses as an investment which you just buy and leave it empty, leading to people not finding any home and prices rising to the point where many normal people can’t afford a good home anymore, all just for the profits of few super rich people.
