I honestly feel like AI placeholders are the best case for scenario for AI use. For example, letting your programmers and designers move forward with placeholder art while your art team (of actual humans) can simultaneously work on the final assets with a better idea of how they’ll fit in place.
No one’s getting replaced, no one’s rights are being infringed (depending on model). That’s the dream right there no one’s getting replaced.

Ah, a fine hobby indeed! I have so many arduinos, pis, and various modules strewn about with little to show for it.

I cracked some of the cartilage of my ribs a while back as well and I’m pretty sure now suffer from bouts of recurring costochondritis, myself. Could be that. Mine is really fun, pain right over my heart and sometimes left arm pain. On top of that, I’ve always had health related anxiety, so it’s “Don’t Have a Panic Attack!” on hard mode. Or I’m slowly dying of heart failure, who knows.

I couldn’t find the answer easily myself and ended up asking AI, so take this with a significant grain of salt, but supposedly a 3mL pen would be around $145 without insurance.

At least you can buy a human for only $85.21!

Riiight, but like, I can make some shit up about a fancy ass apple “The surface is mostly red, mottled with splotches of not yet ripe green. It’s waxed, shiny skin reflects rays of a nearby lightsource behind me. There’s a slight bumpiness to it, almost like goosebumps, but not as pronounced. My mouth is watering.”
Meanwhile, if I try to picture an apple I actually don’t see shit because I have aphantasia, so…
- Comment on The ancient Greeks or Chinese should have already had words for this. 5 weeks ago:
Either that or aphantasia, a well documented phenomena, is a thing.

A lot of the online tests start with a negative offset to account for ping.
Why would they do this? The test runs fully in your browser; there is no ping. Whatever it shows you is what it is. I just made my own very simple reaction tester web app and I get the exact same results as Human Benchmark.
- Comment on Forever young 5 weeks ago:
Perhaps there was delays induced by your testing setup? I regularly hover around 150-175ms depending on the day with pretty much any reaction time test.
- Comment on Forever young 5 weeks ago:
Of course a test like this does not compensate for all variables. Every piece of in the chain is going to have an effect, from mouse, to your specific computer hardware, operating system, all the way to your display output.
That said, I think your delta of 30ms was just variance that would be reduced by averaging several results. The maximum added latency by using 60hz is 16.66ms, while the maximum average for 75hz is 13.33ms, a far cry from the 30ms you experienced.

Arc Raiders has been pretty fun imo. There’s a ton of room for outsmarting your opponents, or even just diplomacy in some cases.
Just last night, I was paying in a group of three, my two teammates were up ahead with me lagging behind. Another group suprise attacked us from on top of a huge concrete wall with massive high ground advantage, firing on my teammates whom had little more cover than sparse trees. This group hadn’t seen me yet, so I told my friends to keep them occupied while I flank. I found a strong position to their side where they had no cover from me, but I had cover from them, lobbed a couple grenades and opened fire. It caused them to scatter in a panic, trying to find cover from both me and my teammates, and we absolutely slaughtered them. Felt incredible.
