This could be the kind of device that could benefit from being open-sourced and 3D printed, combined with relatively accessible and low-voltage electronic parts out there.

How is that even legal to sell that without CC…

Sounds like a reasonable email, and being able to unsubscribe from account-related communication would be a way of evading security measures to a malicious actor.

Two games I anticipated came out on Steam only, so I asked the developers if they planned to sell on alternative platforms and they did, but considering the game isn’t full done yet (they released it in Early Access) they want to focus their effort on the game before adding the extra burden of managing multiple update channels, which is understandable with a small team.
I decided to wait for one (came out on GOG on v1.0) and for the second one I decided to buy it on Steam right away since there’s still a lot of work left.

I just wait, not like I already have a ton of games to play with
- Comment on Anyone else bounce around from game to game with no clue what to play? 3 weeks ago:
When I struggle to find a new game to play, I just go through my backlog. The difficult part is to get started, get used to the controls, get settled in the story. Once you’re in, it’s not too hard to pick it up when you have some spare time.

The later, I want these games decrapified if I’m going to spend money on them.

So many old games from Ubisoft that I’d buy from GOG if they’d strip out their stupid launcher but here we are.

- Comment on Why are most mobile games trash? 5 weeks ago:
Small screen, combined with poor/touch screen controls, and wanting to make money no matter what by pushing ads everywhere because no one wants to pay $10+ for a mobile software.

I use them for our printed version of our documentation, each document has a cover page with a QR code pointing to the latest version of the electronic copy.
Handy during an outage, and you don’t have to search for the online copy.

Or if you want something more turnkey, a Steam Deck. Want more flexibility? Put Bazzite on it.

It’s technically still in early access, but damn I haven’t had that much fun with a boomer-shooter in a while. The level design is top-notch, the music slaps, and the AI is actually good at cornering you.

- Comment on Why do phone manufacturers use in-display fingerprint readers instead of fingerprint readers on the power button? 2 months ago:
I had a power button fingerprint reader in the past (Moto G7 Plus) and it wasn’t great as I’m left handed. My thumb ends up on the opposite side of the screen, so I had to use my index which isn’t ideal.
- Comment on Why do phone manufacturers use in-display fingerprint readers instead of fingerprint readers on the power button? 2 months ago:
I have a soft-protector, the one you need to apply with a small spray of alcohol, and the fingerprint reader works just fine for me.

I wish more news organizations would do this. Make the instance only for the employees and have the public follow them through public instance.
