But if AI executes it…
If AI is so smart (it’s not) it can take your job, then it should clearly recognize what is clearly meant as a joke…

Kind of like Epic to be honest. They pay out the nose for exclusive rights, thinking shit today works like it did 20 years ago.

This is so accurate. And, I had “friends” back in high school, who were very much into meth and very much into sharing.
But every single big meeting at work, is just about AI. it’s just a sales pitch, nothing specific. One of the senior managers emails multiple times a week about fake “wins” due to AI. How, because of AI, some random API is now 4x better! (He doesn’t know what API is…) When I teams opens up, it’s just “AI Bootcamps” plastered everywhere. The intranet homepage, 3 of the 5 things on the carousel is just AI. Multiple “demo days” have just been people showing how they’ve been fucking around in AI and not doing work.
Someone in mgmt, has made it a goal for more AI usage. Put teams on blast who weren’t “using it enough”. Fake metrics of how much good code it’s generated (with no actual examples of course). And yeah, now they’re tracking usage to ensure we get enough AI “touches” a month. They’re monitoring our badge-in (due to RTO) and now they’re monitoring AI adoption and usage.
But just ignore the massive outsourcing to India/SEA… no need to worry about that.

I’d say probably. But would be very sad in how little we ride bike now (used to be all the time, year round, rain, snow, or sunshine). But we’re not yelled at every single day! Got a good job that even teenager me would think is cool.

The first seems reasonable, until the reasoning is given, which reveals the whole message is batshit
Yeah, that’s what I meant. Like, expressing yourself to someone you’re dating, like “This made me uncomfortable,” generally should be ok. This proved to be the exception.
someone getting upset at being told they are lucky to be with the person they are with is kinda full of themselves and reading way too much into it
Well, what if the bartender was being a piece of shit, say someone who has cerebral palsy, saying they’re even lucky to be with someone… Would you still say that person is full of themselves? I think telling anyone they’re “lucky” to be with someone, from an outside perspective, is intentionally demeaning to one of the two people. Now, if someone in a relationship says they feel lucky to have found someone, that’s different. But clearly, it’s open to interpretation. And changes in context.
Little personal story to add, I dated a girl a while back, and ALL her friends and co-workers would say how lucky she was and how good I was for her. We all knew why, she was overweight and I wasn’t. They didn’t even just hint and maybe I read that wrong, they were BLUNT about it. I was doing home cooking for us instead of doing fast food. I worked out, did 5k races, I was in great shape. And I was exposing her to that life and she was noticeably losing weight. But the look on her face when people said “she was lucky”, was defeat.

I’ve not played those, do you have a screen shot or something showing this? I’ve seen the shooting, and I’ve seen the arrow mini game thing, but I’ve not seen both at the same time.

I can’t think of a single game that has a mini puzzle while shooting. Plenty of games with those at independent times.

We have a billion FPS to games but there’s been little in this genre and Pokemon sells on nostalgia instead of quality. If it was a new IP today, it would flop. I’ve been such of Nintendo gaslighting everyone into thinking they invented any of it.

My city approved a monopoly because a business threatened not to come to the city if it had to compete. Truly, what was best for the community! Oh, and 3M dumps a lot of crap into the water because they don’t want to spend the money to properly filter it, wasn’t until a large grocery brand showed up and forced their hand that the city did ANYTHING about the terrible water. Just normal people who want to do whats best for their community…
If you feels so strongly about this, why don’t you run for city council?
Must be nice to have as much free time as you do to just take on additional responsibilities/roles in life. Or are you implying that if I’m not on the city council, I’m not allowed to have an opinion…? What exactly is your point and why are you taking it so personally?

I mean, that’s how it was originally sold. I think it was '95 and we were watching ‘CNN in the Classroom’ I think, and we saw something about how you could use the internet to see photos from some art museum. Basically, experience the museum without having to go there! My teacher was like, “Well, I think we have access to the internet, let’s try it out”. It was slow, but yeah, we got to see some stuff at like dial-up speeds. I remember when they talked about virtual shops and what that might look like (which was oftem more a virtual representation of the store than the grids we have today). Kids in my class back then were getting better grades simply because they had a proper printer, word processor, and information (probably Encarta 95 or something like it). My stuff was hand-written, or I used a typewriter, grammar and spelling mistakes everywhere, and I had to go to the public library (where I think they literally copy pasted some stuff and turned it in… it was the 90’s)

Due to potential parasites, you should definitely cook using a proper meat thermometer. And avoid those “organic” varieties, they may have unknown diseases.
- Comment on California father arrested after repainting crosswalk, adding stop signs near children’s park 1 month ago:
And once someone (probably a child) gets hit and dies, the city will say how sorry this tragedy is… will claim they’ll do something, and then do nothing. Because words are cheap. Oh, and they’ll act like this wasn’t avoidable, there was no way to know this kind of thing could happen.
- Comment on How do movie theaters work? Which seats in theaters are the best? (never done this before) Also is the IMAX thing actually any different? 2 months ago:
IMAX has better resolution than standard. With standard films, they can look low-res to some (especially gamers who might be used to higher resolutions).

Maybe if anyone involved during the Kurtzman era, actually watched the shows and movies first, and had good writing skills things would have gone different. This show is insulting to Start Trek.
You want to say fuck you to somebody, say to the people who greenlit this crap. Kurtzman should have been removed a long time ago. Stop throwing a tantrum.
