That’s disaster waiting to happen, all in that one paragraph. So you’re going to have someone spearheading this, who only knows Minecraft and Marketing. Yeah, good fucking job there, idiots. There is nothing there that speaks of being a director, a producer or even having a hand working staff behind a film. Just an annoying marketer who’s going to shove this shit down our throats. Wonderful.

I honestly don’t plan to demo or wishlist this. However, I would love to see more games like this, about rebuilding a planet that’s been savaged by war. A lot of the time, we got games that are like Fallout where, the bombs already feel so it turns into just surviving the aftermath. We already have tons of games like that in a variety.
But we don’t have enough games where it’s like, the bombs fell, the aftermath sucks so okay - let’s rebuild it! Why not. More games like these can get people to think more of ideas of thinking past the point of these kinds of things whether it’s nuclear fallout or recovering from the damage of corrupt powers.

I’d imagine that they say things like “uh, put guy here and make them look strong. also add some aggressive font about aspiring to weight lift” something like that and they accept it.

Apolitical means you don’t care about politics or you don’t really hold enough interest to discuss it at any degree.
Independent in politics means, you’re going your own way about how you take in the issues and causes around you than the two parties.

Porn wouldn’t be any different. If they, the distributor of the content of said porn, thinks and knows you didn’t pay for it and downloaded it anyways. They could send a notice to your ISP who’ll then send you a notice to you about it to do something about it.

I’m going to have to step in and correct you on something because I’ve followed the news of TorrentFreak for years and noted how the entertainment industry has focused their tactics.
From the 2000s through early 2010s, they went after everyone and I mean everyone. Everyone who both downloaded and distributed what they considered copyright infringement. They’ve targeted many people, including people who both were old and didn’t have internet but sued them anyways for thousands of dollars.
However at somepoint in the mid-2010s, they changed tactics. They know it’s a losing battle to go after so many downloaders because piracy was more adopted. So, they decided to go after distributors and those who stream what they see as illegal.
I’m pretty positive though that if they still wanted to, they’ll take down a downloader, if you make a blip on the radar. I don’t exactly know what it’ll take but it has to be significant enough to grab their attention. But for now, they’re after site owners, streamers, distributors and notorious individuals who house a lot of downloaded content.

Same. Especially after I’ve had shithead trolls from Steam Forums shit all over my reviews to where I went through the process of tediously re-posting 120 reviews. Yeah, real pieces of work the people are in those forums.

I’m going to have to answer this based on my personal experience and I’d know because your detailing is very similar.
Mainstream content reinforces the idea that the world and society all but feel manufactured. They’re the things that got chosen to be popular, they’re what is going to be market, they’re what is going to be talked about and so on and so forth. Sometimes it is chosen but other times, there’s definitely a formula in the works that just gravitates people instantly.
That’s all fine and well. But if you’re an individual who’ve developed their own tastes and you’re not getting in any engagement with anyone about those tastes, you’re going to get lost in the fold very quickly because you’re not part of what everyone considers the ‘in’ thing.
Your last bit tells me that it’s a you-thing. You dropped everything that you liked, because why? Because you saw merchandise being made in a store? But it’s like, did anyone force what you enjoyed down your throat? You’re waiting for the hype to die down? I don’t get that, because all that you’re doing, is limiting your personal enjoyment and your personal moderation about how much you enjoy something.
You don’t have to go out, buy the merchandise, buy anything that so much has your favorite thing on it. You don’t have to engage with the mass volume of the community that gets noisy to engage. You’ve sucked out whatever interest that was left over things that are optional. It’s one thing if a series changes because of fan demand, that I can understand and it has happened to people’s favorite series.
But if a series is still going for what it is, unaltered and naturally enjoyed but still popular but you want to sit it out anyways? That’s kindof on you.
