I’ve never picked up a Souls game myself, because that kind of challenge isn’t what I play video games for, but I’ve never felt like I was being cheated out of an experience. There are plenty of other games out there for me.
I think if a developer doesn’t want to add an easy mode because they feel like that would be an inferior version of their game, it’s their prerogative not to do it. When an author writes an intellectually challenging book, nobody serious complains that the author refused to include cliff notes or explanations. Why don’t we treat video game designers the same?

I think they meant consult a lawyer to make sure it’s done by the books. So that the money doesn’t “go missing”, you don’t get accused of being associated with a crime, etc.

Can’t remember everything else off the top of my head. A lot of very simple things for kids that I loved to make. Like eggs in a frame, pigs in a blanket, that kind of stuff. It was called Kids Cooking by Klutz.

Blue Prince kind of fits. You can accomplish the stated purpose of the game, and even see the credits roll. But if you keep poking around afterwards you realize you’ve barely scratched the surface of mystery/story to uncover

This is the real answer and the only way to actually end tipping culture in the US but people here don’t want to hear it. They’d rather just act superior and smug about how they stiff service workers

Women on dating apps are generally constantly bombarded with messages. You have to say something more than hi to stand out. On the other hand, men get relatively few messages, so hi is sufficient to show interest and get the ball rolling

I think Reddit still has merit when it comes to niche communities. Lemmy doesn’t have the user base to support the breadth of communities Reddit does, which is why I still use it for some specific subreddits I already follow. But when it comes to randomly scrolling posts from communities I’m not already a part of I’ll never go back to Reddit.
Have you tried talking Lemmy up at r/worldbuilding? Most people don’t even realize an alternative to Reddit exists
