I think what we’re looking here is for breathing room. The cost of living must return to sustainability for people to expand and regain lost stability in all expects of their lives.
Of course, certain people will try to gaslight into saying that being a serf for Neo-Feudalism is the best thing ever, and that an organisation or state that doesn’t serve your wellbeing or interest is the best thing ever

This is the exact set up for a Black Plague event. I know people tend to hold a grudge over the Covid Lockdown, but do we really need to see bodies topple on the street before realisation is made?

For the second, I can see it being offered by the employer -a merciful one that is- that you get paid leave. It can be also a sort of compensation if the work tasked is expected to have a crunch time toward the late stage.

How should this go about if I may ask? Genuinely curious to learn the terminologies behind this.
Is it a bonus? Paid leave?

It doesn’t exist.
An all digital future is as vapid and has the physical value of a fart.
They are selling you the air you breathe and calling it money because they know if they had to produce the actual cash it would never match the amount they spend.

It has all happened before, it is now happening again with the same maliciousness.

That sounds like a moral and ethical failure than a institutional one. It should be rational that you’d want to copulate in a private environment, not where you are likely to be disturbed or outright attacked.

I like how you bring up the gaming industry because it’s always, to me, been a very good indicator for what sort of practices are engaged in other industries.
The little hats that run the gaming industry are just more shameless about it because they know this industry is a lot less likely to agitate the masses compared to a failure made public in say, the automobile or airline industry. Hence, any bad practice brought to light in games, is often preceding or revealing an even worse synonym elsewhere.

Sadly, there is no policing body that would not end up corrupt by trying to restrict wealth accumulation.
It’s human behaviour since the time we figured out its easier to store surplus food away then hunt every day. People ‘like’ big numbers or big counting in the context of hoarding because it provides assurance that we are safe, in a sense.
The real question is how does one guide the human mentality such that it incentivises hoarding or expenditure that returns to the larger group than a few. Really, if you can convince a rich man that improving other people’s livelihoods is a sign of wealth extravagance, we’d be on the path to the stars.
The poorest folk are the ones who never figure out when is enough.

Is Occam’s Razor the right term here?
What I do know is that people in happy marriages or divorce on good terms are often not the ones making the loudest noise.
While it’s true that we should advance at our own pace, what’s also true is that we shouldn’t get comfortable with the idea that things will always go our way, especially as we age.
Often, having a good relationshio or, better, a marriage is exactly what people need in case things happen that would otherwise leave us vulnerable, and it goes both ways.
