- Comment on Epic Games unveils Launcher V2 in re-attempt to topple Steam, says redesigned storefront is up to 6.5x faster — promises player profiles, user reviews, universal controller support, and much more 3 days ago:
If anything this will likely break support with Lutris, Heroic, and others so they can force you to run their client.

Nothing bad.
- Comment on Is the Glock 17V any good? 1 week ago:
Like the other reply brought up, it is a well built design that has been around long enough to work most of the bugs out. But the 2 main things that make it dependable is it’s a striker fired design. So instead of having an external hammer like most traditional designs, it’s all internal, so there’s less chance of it snagging on something or discharging from being hit (not really a problem on anything modern). And secondly, there’s no “safety”. There are interlocks that help prevent it from firing accidentally, but there is no lever or button that makes the pistol inoperable.
So that being said, if your use case is a pistol you can grab and fire with a minimal amount of fuss, it’s very dependable for that.

It’s the Toyota Corolla of pistols. Not that fancy. Not specialized. But darn dependable.

Seconding this. A perfect audio rip will only sound as good as the hardware that is playing it.

- Comment on Whats a good etiquette to show you are doing a U turn in a left turn, so the cars behind you know? 2 months ago:
Unpopular opinion: Navigation proficiency should be part of any driving test. Because lacking this leads to unpredictable behavior that is dangerous for everybody.
- Comment on Whats a good etiquette to show you are doing a U turn in a left turn, so the cars behind you know? 2 months ago:
If there’s enough traffic that you need to signal your u-turn, then don’t! Circle the block or go down to the next exit to turn around. Don’t make your poor planning every one else’s problem.
U-turns are almost always poor traffic etiquette.

Right? I got great music, tasty snacks, a shewee, a fucking xbox! I’m good over here.

- Comment on How do trains save fuel when they literally park on the tracks and block multiple intersections, with over a hundred vehicles steady burning gas all around waiting for the train to fucking move? 2 months ago:
Good luck with this fight. Texas sued for the right of the state to enforce time limits on trains blocking intersections; and the supreme court told them to fuck off.

That, I also learned, is a common misconception. Flag code just says pick it up off the ground.
- Comment on Red, White and Blue 2 months ago:
Huh, TIL. I guess throwing it on the ground was against flag code but not the actual burning.
- Comment on Red, White and Blue 2 months ago:
I don’t think patriotism and flag code are necessarily linked.
