When I ask the teacher a question and they start yelling at me, but I know ChatGPT would have started with "That's a great question":

John Oliver has a great episode on ai chatbots, how they don’t push back because of customer service reasons and end up helping teens plan suicide
While the teacher sucks, the sycophantic AI is itself a problem…
One teaches boundaries about what is and isn’t appropriate while the other emboldens stupidity.
Yelling doesn’t teach. But I agree on the second part,
It absolutely does, but maybe not in the expected/intended way.
There’s absolutely some lessons I learned that I will not forget because of the violence attached.

No, a great first step would be to answer questions asked in good faith. Fill that ignorance with knowledge, that’s how to fix stupidity
Sure AI sucks, but that teacher really sucks too. Sometimes a bad teacher can be worse than no teacher.

I mean we once had a student argue that it should be allowed to send nuclear waste to “some African shit hole country” to get rid of it. An AI won’t answer this appropriately because it isn’t allowed to start an answer with “listen here, cuntface”.
