Also parental controls are ass. Yes you can block (most) pornography but you can’t tell a social media app to not blast a teenager with misinformation. It’s like a playground but with glass shards everywhere. You can forbid the kid from playing there altogether but they’d feel excluded while all their friends are having fun. Somehow there doesn’t seem to be an option to remove the fucking shards though.

At this point I think there’s some kind of code hidden here. Maybe the localization AI is trying to tell us something.

We should explain the issue in all detail to the Microsoft support so they can guide us to the windows update documentation.
- Comment on What's with "*checks notes*" everywhere? 2 days ago:
It do be like that. Many of them get repeated till they reach a critical point and everyone is sick of them. Some of them are harder to tolerate than others though. I can deal with people ‘checking notes’ here and there but those who use “literally” as every second word in their sentences awaken a primal rage inside of me that is yearning for rock to split skull. Luckily that trend isn’t as prevalent as it used to be back in the day.

That sucks. I’d hate to waste so much time and energy commuting every day.

These Cambodians were ripping us off but not on my watch. I’ll make some great deals and soon we’ll be living just like them. The finest corrugated iron shacks you’ve ever seen.

That’s Nike. I believe they produce their stuff in Vietnam and that is getting hit with 46%. It’s brutal.

My favorite part was their demonstration of 3d sound in the video. Yes, this works great on my headphones watching YouTube.
- Comment on Amazon accused of using algorithms to push warehouse workers to breaking point 4 weeks ago:
Many people who have been in abusive work situations know that there’s a point when you should leave but the constant drain from the abuse keeps you in a state of exhaustion that prevents any action. It’s often only once this makes you so physically sick that you have to take the time off and realize this can’t go on any longer.
I believe this is the zone where Amazon wants to keep their employees. Fully exhausted, given up on any possible improvement.
If you find yourself in a situation like this, run like fuck.
- Comment on Report: Switch 2 Announcement Expected This Week 2 months ago:
“Nintendo WILL announce the Switch 2 in March. Everything I’m hearing dating back to Gamescom last year has indicated something was happening in March. That talk has resurfaced in the past few weeks, and it is indicating that the Switch 2 is set for a reveal or an announcement in March.”
That’s from the same RELIABLE leaker from a year ago and that’s just the first one I saw. The amount of leakers who claimed it would get announced over the last year is comically large. I guess if you post this once a week eventually you’ll be right. I mean, yeah an announcement seems likely at this point but there’s no need to bring Randomguess McGee into the conversation.
- Comment on Germany’s four-day work week proves to be a massive hit 2 months ago:
It’s a bit misleading to phrase it as they did. Germany didn’t trial this. A few companies in Germany did. How many? Well fuck me if I know because the author does their best to keep any absolute numbers out of the article. I’m all for reducing work time since our productivity has easily risen enough to allow for that (once we eat the rich) but don’t try to sugarcoat it.

I for one appreciate that ubisoft chose the top down view of poop as their logo. it’s the perfect symbol for everything they represent and they’re incredibly brave for wearing it proudly on their chest.
