seathru@quokk.au 3 days agoFair amount of experience in both. And it works surprisingly well. For a time. I’ve had fully PLA printed designs like the fgc-9 and glock frames like the invader above hold up to hundreds of rounds, only to spontaneously shatter in the safe 2 years later. PLA is an amazing material, in ideal conditions.

I’m in the PNW, so ideal conditions outside the house are uncommon. PETG or ABS seem better suited, but I for sure don’t have the gun expertise
