I only managed to move out recently. Unfortunately there was a lot of damage done to our relationship prior to me moving out, and its damage I don’t believe he is aware is there. Even if it is, neither of us are eager to confront it. I still visit, and try to do it about bi-weekly (distance being the main factor), but it always feels awkward and I don’t think that will go away until the current state of America improves or we take the effort to fix the mend. Further unfortunately, I worry that he won’t change and that is a huge barrier to mending our relationship.
Our relationship is in a really difficult spot. If we don’t try and work through it and just keep skirting around things and avoiding the problem things will never improve and it will always be awkward around him. But if we confront things, there is a good likelyhood things will end up worse than they already are

That is fair. I also think it depends on the subject. Math I think would be particularly hard to individualize lessons. However english and social studies I think would be far easier. Thankfully I am studying to be a history teacher. Will update in 2 years how my experimentation with decentralizing the classroom goes lol

This has been my experience. Before I got old enough to develop my own political beliefs, my dad barely if ever talked about politics and he was a very supportive and loving father. Then I started developing my political beliefs and coincide tally that was around when Trump was running for his first term and it started going downhill from there. He was still and loving and supportive father, but his politics and mine did not align and that started creating a lot of division between us. Neither of us can handle talking about politics around each other, but it is becoming harder and harder to avoid.

As someone currently in college for a degree in secondary education, yes this is exactly it. Putting the underachieving students in the “dumb class” reinforces low self esteem and crushes motivation, causing them to continue to underperform or even perform worse than before.
Individualizing lessons in the classroom is what helps students. However I have found teachers are typically pretty bad at doing this, and in my opinion, its because they are afraid of giving up control.

I have a watch that is piwered by movement, and it is analog. Love the thing cause I don’t have to remember to charge it or replace the batteries, it charges when I wear it. However if I forget to wear it it will likely die. But then I just give it a good shake and update the time.

Most of the things that I was taught that I don’t get practice with I do not remember how to do it anymore. Now I do have ADHD so that definitely does not help.
However I will say I do think in some cases learning how to do things you wont necessarily need outside of school can be useful as it can teach you other helpful things subconsciously. There are certain supporting skills that are developed when you learn those things that can be used in other contexts. Are there more effective ways to learn those supporting skills besides teaching things most people likely wont use again? Probably, but I don’t really have an answer for what

From my understanding creationists do believe in evolution on a micro level. Meaning a species can evolve a little bit to fit a particular niche. They just don’t believe in evolution on a macro level, meaning like how the surviving dinosaurs evolved into birds as we know it today, or hippos and whales sharing a common ancestor.

Or, and hear me out, maybe just stop posting AI content cause clearly people don’t want it, or get over the criticism. People are going to react the way you dont like because many people, myself included, find it unethical. Like yeah, if I see something and like it, but find out it was made in a way I find unethical I am going to think lesser of it. Its called following your own principles. Like if I watch a youtuber and like their content, but then find out they plagiarized it, I am not going to like that youtuber anymore. They did something I find ethically immoral and I am not going to support it.
