Squad and Squad 44 come with plenty of team mechanics, and I have never joined a clan before. It does depend on the server, and also on who steps up to be squad lead. But generally I find the team mechanics to be fairly deep. If your team is not working together (strong squad leads, medics, logistics, etc) then your team falls apart and you will lose (unless the other team is just as bad). Logi in particular make or break a match a lot of times.
Saw that at its peak recently when Galactic Contention (star wars overhaul mod for Squad) came back online. Bunch of new casual players who didnt know how to play building emplacements but no ammo boxes, no one building or supplying FOBs, no one running medic, and we got our asses beat.

I’m pretty sure it was confirmed for some environmentalist stuff and oil companies. Like when some “activists” threw soup at a Van Gogh painting, I’m pretty sure that was actually an oil company trying to make environmentalists look stupid. But I am also too lazy to try and search for sources rn so obviously take that with a grain of salt.

Plus, that is assuming your landlord follows through in a timely manner. Plenty of examples of landlords being assholes and procrastinating or outright refusing to repair essential things. Even if you (are able to) take them to court, that takes additional time.

I got bullied for being queer, neurodivergent, radically left, atheist, and more. Some of it was a little deserved cause I was a prick or annoying about it at the time. I typically handled my bullies myself, but for bullies that I knew I would lose a fight against my best friend would handle it on my behalf.

Yeah basically. Like yeah generalizations are bad, like you say. But when we play the “not all straights” or “not all men” game, we are detracting from very real and very harmful issues facing a community. There is a reason women overwhelmingly pick the bear over the man in the hypothetical, and a man saying “not all men” does nothing to make that women want to pick him over the bear. Honestly, it often times would probably make the woman even more likely to pick the bear. Cause what you are doing is effectively making the topic about you, and you are telling the person “your generalization is more important to me than the problem you are talking about.” And because the people talking about the problem are marginalized (by definition, people without an influential voice), it only further covers up the message. As a white, straight-passing, and cis-passing man, yeah of course it hurts when I feel like someone is lumping me in as the problem. But I know its not my fault, and that its not really attacking me. And I know this because I try my damnedest to be an accomplice, not just an ally.*
*There is a very good zine called “Accomplices Not Allies: Abolishing the Ally Industrial Complex” written by Indigenous Action that I highly recommend. There is also another zine called “Queers Read This” that I also highly recommend. I linked both below.

They are talking about a trend with straight people, not accusing every straight person of being a rapist. Rule of thumb, if someone critiques an identity that you are a part of and the critique doesnt apply to you then its not about you. Coming in and saying this type of shit makes you seem like an asshole who isnt listening to marginalized peoples’ struggles.
Like for example I hear houseless people complain about nurses and doctors a lot because they tend to assume they are dope-seeking. If I was a nurse, I would listen and do my best not to be the kind of person they are talking. I would not tell them “You should stop generalizing, cause I don’t do that.” It feels very invalidating and makes you come off as very self-centered.

- Comment on California father arrested after repainting crosswalk, adding stop signs near children’s park 4 months ago:
You’re punishing him solely to potentially prevent others from doing copying him. Which frankly is insane. Cause lets be honest, he was more than likely right, so punishing him isn’t going to make him regret what he did. He would probably do it again under similar circumstances. If his work is undone by the city, then not only will it make his sacrificd meaningless, it will also likely make him and others want to escalate. If his actions do work, whether or not he is punished, it serves as proof that his strategy works, and if people are desperate enough they will copy him. Then lastly the people who want to fuck with traffic stuff just for the fun of it are not going to be the kinds of people deterred by the possibility of getting arrested.
Punishing him not only won’t stop shit, it further proves him right. Making an example of him is punishing a man for doing the right thing when the city wouldn’t and is unproductive and wrong. The city shoulda just put the stop sign in and none of this would have been an issue.

Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, its a duck. I don’t really care if the duck says its not a duck and that it is against ducks, its still a duck. When you go about blaming the lefties (of which he labelled fascists as leftists) and the gays, and envisioning a society that would functionally genocide a bunch of people I am gonna call you a fascist. Cause if we just got rid of technology and returned to primitive living, a lot of people would die. Namely disabled people and people with chronic illnesses. It is indirect eugenics. Its exactly why most anarchists nowadays do not associate with anarcho-primitivists, and call them eco-fascists as well.
The reason why people like Bookchin and Bari are better is because they critique industrialization while putting forward solutions that don’t kill a bunch of people.
And lets not pretend like fascism is this coherent or cohesive ideology. Its an ideology of opportunism. Mussolini and Hitler were vastly different, and even just comparing Mussolini’s writing to his actions there’s a lot of differences. For example Mussolini’s writings were anti-monarchist, yet the monarchy remained in fascist Italy because it gave him an opportunity.
Ted might not have been a fascist ideologically, but his ideology is not incompatible with fascism. And the consequences of his ideology is still genocide, even if indirectly. So maybe rather than fighting over whether it is or isn’t fascism, we should fight it cause it is bad and harmful.
- Comment on The unAbomber. Otherwise, I agree. 4 months ago:
Thats the problem. So maybe rather than giving the eco-fascist more coverage, we should highlight people who deserve it
- Comment on The unAbomber. Otherwise, I agree. 4 months ago:
Yes that is what I am saying. But just because someone made some good points doesn’t mean we should keep using them as the defacto idealogue. Imagine if we kept saying “Hitler had some good points” when talking about animal rights or Osama Bin Laden for anti-imperialism. If you want an edgy thing to make a meme like this out of, use the ELF or ALF. Two groups that are controversial but lack the eco-fascism narrative of the unabomber.
- Comment on The unAbomber. Otherwise, I agree. 4 months ago:
I never said don’t read it, but comparing and contrasting is not what is happening. Its like when Osama Bin Laden’s manifesto or whatever was making the rounds and everyone was like “ya know he makes some good points.” Everyone just keeps parroting the points of far-right extremists cause they pointed out a pretty universal issue like imperialism, consumerism, environmental destruction, etc. If the only perspective that gets spread is that of a far-right nutjob, then it normalizes the problematic parts of their perspective. Its always just begins and ends with “the unabomber made some good points.” Not “the unabomber made some good points, but Bookchin is more practical and not a eco-fascist.”
- Comment on The unAbomber. Otherwise, I agree. 4 months ago:
That have been made by much better people who weren’t also eco-fascists.
- Comment on The unAbomber. Otherwise, I agree. 4 months ago:
To all the people in the comments being like “Ted had some good points.” Judi Bari, Peter Kropotkin, and Murray Bookchin are all people who have written about environmentalism and the problems of technology, industrialization, and such and better than the reactionary psychopath did. Fascists love the unabomber and use him to normalize eco-fascism. Stop fucking saying he had good points cause there are better authors who have made those same points without all the fucking reactionary and eco-fascism tied to it.

Power can only account for arrogance so much. I interpret it as Anakin was the most powerful Jedi, but his arrogance and lack of self control often times got in the way of it. So to me, Obiwan didn’t win because he was stronger, but because he was in control.

- Comment on This is crazy. Why don't you just take their car ? 6 months ago:
I agree with you largely. Although I don’t think people downvote for the cognitive dissonance, at least thats not the reason I do. I live in a very rural state, and even the most industrialized cities here have dog shit public transportation and are not bike-able or walkable. I also do not want to live in a city, so I really have no options but to have a car. Personally, when I hear people say “get rid of cars” it feels very privileged because it comes off as a very blanket solution that is really only achievable in cities and other urbanized environments. Otherwise I do largely agree with boosting public transportation and other non-car centric solutions, and obviously I definitely agree with completely replacing the justice system around one of rehabilitation and addressing problems that cause crime in the first place.
- Comment on This is crazy. Why don't you just take their car ? 6 months ago:
Coulda woulda shoulda whatever, thats not reality. People break rules and punishments aren’t effective at stopping them. So come up with an effective way of stopping it without ruining people’s lives or shut the fuck up. No one deserves their life ruined over speeding, and if you think they do then I hope you get to experience the other end of the stick.

- Comment on This is crazy. Why don't you just take their car ? 6 months ago:
And if you were smart enough to use critical thinking and follow your logic to its inevitable conclusion, you’d see how that would just send people into cycles perpetually keeping them in prison and never being able to reform or reintigrate into society all over a speeding ticket. But since you aren’t, let me walk you through it.
John gets a in trouble for speeding. Maybe they give him a ticket he cant afford or maybe they just take his car away. Either way it doesnt matter, it just speeds up the cycle so lets go fast and say he loses the car. He now lacks a car so I hope his town has good public transportation! Oops it doesn’t, guess he loses his job because he cant get there on time. Now John is houseless. We all know how the houseless are treated so lets just skip to John going to prison. Lets say a year or so later he gets out. Now he will have an even harder time finding a job because he has a criminal record AND is houseless. On and on.
Now since we both understand the cycle I imagine you still think his car should be taken away but simply because youre a hateful and vengeful person who doesnt care about actually stopping crime, but just want to see people who do something wrong get punished (whether or not the punishment will have unintended consequences that cause the punishment to be way more severe than the crime).
