If people keep playing there is no reason to not increase prices.

I was babysitting the neighbours kids one night and their dad was like “kids are in bed feel free to play civ until we are back”
I had no idea what he was talking about and he delayed his date night to give me a tutorial. Gave me the CD rom after because it wasn’t needed to play. Great times.

See, I keep trying to tell the wife that, but she’s all “how gonna eat in the woods?” Apparently squirrels was the wrong answer.

Oh wow, I didn’t even know that was a thing. Looking it up that might be the fix. My computer can’t keep time or date which is one of the side effects of a dead CMOS.
Thank you kind stranger!

Me too! I hoped it would fix it from turning itself off when it isn’t plugged in. But it still isn’t working, so some other connection is naf.

Oh for sure. I rarely play new games because I don’t have the time and because I own a bunch of older games I haven’t got to yet(The exception being BG3).
I will say older games are often graphically better in memory. Fired up Dragon Age 1 last week and it looks so old now.

My five year old laptop can still runs most games, (although it’s getting quirky) and my four year old cellphone is going strong. I see little reason to update and I hope to get another 3-5 years out of them, barring major hardware failure.

Years ago I had a coworker ask how I was able to travel so much because we made the same wage.
I was just like I don’t do drugs or buy drinks at a bar. I don’t own a car and my phone is cheap and paid off. I kept my expenses as low as possible to do what I liked.
Given how expensive renting is now I don’t think my frugality would have helped as much as it used to.
- Comment on Tips 1 month ago:
Sure, but plenty of people buy things because they want to feel wealthy. I have people in my life who buy fancy cars, holidays, and furniture on loan with bad interest. Instead of saving for an item, they pay too much for instant gratification.
