60% of 70% is only 42%. So the other 58% spoiled their vote or outright support Trump.

Oh, you’re right, it was actually 57% of registered voters in California that refused to vote against him and vote for Kamala.
Just because you live in a system doesn’t mean that voting absolves you of all blame for the current crisis. You’re still an American and you still indirectly support American foreign policy.
Americans having to pay a fraction of what Europeans or the global south has to pay for gas is completely fair. The US started this war. At the very least, the 57% of you who encouraged this behavior might change their mind after this pain.
There is too much apathy in the US. You can’t just live in a bubble and pretend everything will be OK while World War 3 is starting.

The UN used to be involved in peacekeeping. The problem is that the world is more divided than it was before. UN peacekeepers used to patrol Gaza. They defended South Korea.
As it is now, the US has completely removed most funding from the UN. Even if the deliberative bodies wanted to be more involved in world conflicts, they don’t have the funding anymore to do so. Trump is trying to strangle the UN to make room for his dictator council.

Exactly. If you are in a parking and going in front first into a parking space on your right side, you are driving dangerously against traffic.

Where on their website does it say that fascists can subpoena your payment information on their website? All I see is false advertising saying that no one can read your emails and that their service is secure.

Maybe they’ve changed the website, but when I started using Proton, they never gave me any warning about paying with a credit card.

It’s not theoretical. Protonmail should not have handed over the personal data for victims of political persecution.

People shouldnt need to think about opsec to have private emails. False advertising on Protonmails part, and government policy issue in the countries in question.

The GDP per capita of those countries are skewed because most of the workers live outside the city state and commute in. You’re just seeing the GDP benefits that cities have over rural areas.

- Comment on Why is Valve being sued for almost $900 million, but Epic Games wasn't sued when they bought Rocket League and Fall Guys to remove them from steam? 2 months ago:
I could see Valve controlling a bit of a monopoly in the game launcher and gaming social media markets.
A pro-consumer change that the EU could impose would be to split up the game marketplace from the game launcher and gaming social media markets through intercompatible APIs.
Maybe you could download games from steam in GOG or Lutris, and the steam overlay works on GOG or Lutris too. Maybe your discord friends could show up in the Steam friend list.

Isn’t valve being sued for
-
Not allowing devs to sell steam download codes on other stores, But the ban only applies if they are selling the download code for cheaper than Steam
-
Not allowing devs to sell steam DLC download codes on other stores
I don’t think 1 or 2 puts other stores at any disadvantage. If a store wants to sell steam download codes then Valve has to get their normal cut. If they don’t want to pay the valve tax, then they don’t need to offer a Steam download code.
