I love myst. Similar to you I was playing it when I was little bit didn’t understand much. Since then I’ve replayed it countless times in every iteration, even on the DS haha. You definitely should try Riven. For me it’s the pinnacle of the myst series.

Thanks for the insight! Makes a lot of sense, especially the sensor wire degradation. Salty snow slushy gnawing through the wire assembly. And if the sensor data is freely readable, that’s pretty useful to have error codes. I know I intentionally bought a motherboard with the little error code indicator for exactly that reason

Well in the 90s, the 70s were vintage as well. I think 20 years is starting to get pretty vintage, maybe going back 100 years is also vintage? It’s not ancient tho
