Uh oh. The big vultures are circling, salivating at the devs they’re going to poach and the IPs they’re going to gut - or, alternatively: shelf forever, much to the shegrin of the fans.
…
Wait a minute, a youngin’ is whispering in my ear that’s probably not going to happen anymore. Let me check the gaming industry market…
Overblown budgets, you say… unrealized gains, you say… faulty projections, enshitification, people prefer playing Chinese games nowadays? EA is struggling!!!
…wtf happened?!

I don’t think you get it.
All political influencers place their bets on where they think the future may lay. He had reservations of whether or not the CIA was full of shit.
As to the idea of him supporting Putin or being pro Z, that’s bullshit - and you know it. Going through the mental gymnastics of saying that he is, albeit indirectly, when he is obviously pro peace and anti war is disingenuous to say the least
He has stated that he is anti imperialist. Just because Chinese programming has convinced him and that US propaganda has made him jaded doesn’t negate his stance on the issue.
So before we move on, let’s ignore the fan wiki and move to the actual meat of the matter: link to me the direct, unfalsifiable and clear proof that he is anti Ukrainian and pro Z.
If it’s all him being skeptical of US propaganda - wether or not it is correct - then you have no grounds to justify saying that he is actually anti Ukrainian or pro Z.
- Comment on Why is Hasan Piker ‘not conducive to the public good’? Because on Gaza, we punish the witness, not the crime 2 weeks ago:
Can’t blame him for that. Being naturally skeptical of US imperialism - with the history of the CIA, not to mention Iran currently - is healthy. Additionally US officials and the CIA screaming wolf so many times even made the EU turn a blind eye to Russian despotism - a state fueled by oligarchy, Russian chauvenism and antidemocratic governance. Republicans largely ignored it because they are crypto fascism enjoyers.
Going to bat for the autocratic regime of China however is kind of weak, NGL - especially if you talk to actual Chinese people about it anywhere else than online, or the influencer sphere. But that being said: the way US politicians spread sinophobia while at the same time exploiting Chinese wage slavery and outright slavery is very telling. They only apply certain values when it’s advantageous to their propaganda and not when it’s advantageous to do even more exploitation. Again: screaming wolf, trying to have their cake and eat it to, as the world’s current hegemony.
But let us never forget that western liberals and conservatives “outsourced” (what a name for it) to the global south and the east so that western corporations could exploit said slave labour, and they did so to spite and deflate Union movements, in order to avoid democracy - because unions are a form of democratic representation. Now they’re crying crocodile tears for the hole they dug us into, a whole we call the RACE TO THE BOTTOM.
But also: why are you bringing the destiny v piker beef into the comment section? Being a stan for an influencer is IMHO intellectual suicide. It negates the process of free thought, of actual, factual, axiom based skepticism.
And to tell it clearly: free speech without free thought is like giving an assault rifle to a monkey. Don’t be a rifle wielding monkey, thank you very much.

We’ve come to a point in history when we have to ask: do you think this guy represents you?
Let go of the idea that the financing industry is “self regulated” via third party audits, because they all drink from the same KoolAid bowl.
“Economic sciences” is a song and dance, insider trading happens all the time, nepotism is everywhere and “free market principles” is a list of criteria most markets fail to meet. It’s pretty much just a game.
Their purpose is to keep that game going. They are mired in conflict of interests and wallow in entitlement, all while housing costs and the price of food skyrockets.
But no! Good guys, bad guys, good guys with guns, bad guys with Cayman island bank accounts, good guys with Cayman island bank accounts! Yes!
What’s needed is more deregulation and tax cuts. That’s the way. You cut those things away and they’ll reward you with some new apartment complexes out of the kindness in their hearts.
Surely they won’t just pocket the difference and sit on a property market made stale to secure higher value for currently owned property in the future! Nooo! That would be a “bad thing” to do.
Surely you shouldn’t take some of that tax money and build public housing all over the place to bring down the cost of housing by meeting demand with supply. That’s a commie thing to do, which good guys don’t do - the ones what shoot the Indian - and besides, it totally goes against the “economic sciences”.
So trust this guy, with his pointy ears and bushy tail. The fox is great at watching henhouses!

The genie granted his wish - and in a moment vanished. Elated he was, as he skipped off into the sunset.
1000 years later.
UnderpantsWeevil sat alone, in a dark metal box, suspended over lava, hanging by a long massive chain, circa 30km underground. How so?
He had been observed by various nation state actors over time, some who tried to kill him - many times, without success.
Everything was painstakingly documented by increasingly maddened agents, who poured over the various failed scenarios in utter amazement.
Run over by a truck? 7 times attempted. Gased to death in his bead? 4 attempts. Fatal stabbing? Proven not effective. “Accidental beheading”? 12 near misses.
in total 73 supposedly fatal wounds to the body, according to the medical sciences, all of which failed. No one could bring an end to UnderpantsWeevil.
After many captures (and several escapes) he finally landed in the hands of a North American despot known as Julius Trump the 4th - a supposed heir to the great emperor god.
This mad god king in a fallout empire decided to create a secret super-prison - because no one should be able to outlast the god king himself.
UnderpantsWeevil sat completely still in this oxygen depleted place, not a muscle stirring. Only the thought that it had been a scant 1000 years…
Good night, everybody!

He’s a very clear and present danger to himself. Social isolation is a result of environmental - or societal - damage and it can lead you down dark corridors.
No doubt his ethnicity played a role in this, him living in the UK. But it keeps happening and in these cases people defer to racism because it is an easy answer.
For every other right wing terrorist who was qualified as a “lone gunman” or “emotionally unstable”, you have this guy. No doubt he’s being treated in this way because he’s being made an example of.
The mental health & loneliness pandemic only qualifies if you’re white, and even then you get handwaved and marginalized - leading to even more of this kind of behavior.
Then people laugh, cry, shrug and move on with their lives, leaving many to rot - only for the next article to pop up.
“Then just seek therapy” - because it’s just that easy, isn’t it? Everyone has access, right? More handwaving, more marginalization, more buyring the lead.
