The whole point of a dog whistle is so people don’t catch on. It’s not obvious until you know.

Working in hotels has showed me just how unsecure hotels are. There is virtually no security in a lot of places.

Everything is political. Always has been. Only difference is people’s money is getting affected so it’s unignorable. Mind you when it’s racism, sexism, oppression, genocide it’s all ignorable. But God forbid you get in the way of people’s money.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 week ago:
Because Reddit bans people for talking about politics openly. Those people end up coming to Lemmy to talk about the same topics. Remember you can’t even mention Luigi on Reddit anymore. It’s a website of manufactured consent.

Last therapist I talked to asked me what my problems were. I said they’re personal and I have a hard time talking about them. He essentially said “alright not much we can do then” and ended the meeting. This was after about 2 weeks of waiting for the appointment too. I haven’t bothered looking for another therapist.
They don’t care about me. They care about the money I give them.

My landlord makes 48k a year off where I’m living. I can easily see how he’s making money.

And all of that would be made worse if she was fat as well. Being fat is unhealthy. I was a medically obese child. 250lbs at 12. Losing 80lbs is one of the greatest changes I’ve ever made in my life, if not the best, for my daily quality of life.

What were you eating 6000 calories every other day too? No wonder doctors don’t believe their patients.

Too many people do exactly that. That’s the problem.
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
Religion is a mass delusion. Christianity is a cult. Anyone taking the Bible literally is a fool. Its fairytales. Yet I’m supposed to respect grown ass adults that believe in this stuff? All ridiculous beliefs should be called out for what they are, especially when those beliefs infringe on other people.

Great questions.
These are the sort of questions that make talking about religion so difficult because everyone believes different things even though they think they’re talking about the same thing. These are often too many questions for online discourse, and you have to ask every person to make sure the conversation is grounded, so what happens is these questions are simply ignored and people keep bickering lol.
