“Can we search your house? It will only help you if you have nothing to hide”.
Help me how, to get arrested faster? lmao
“If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear” remains at the top of my list of bullshit lines of “reasoning” I’ve ever heard in my entire life.
- Comment on The cops pay Anon a visit 4 days ago:
If that was the case, a warrant would have already been obtained.

Step 1: Back up important files
Step 2: boot from live Linux USB

I bet they’d stop doing it if they got literally ripped into pieces by horses. Or a horse’s solar-powered motorized equivalent.
Idk man, Luigi happened and look what that did to insurance overall (spoiler: nothing). Yes I know that’s insurance and not banking, but the idea is the same.

Note - That’s why I said “average console modder”, not “average person” 😅 The two are not the same.
- Comment on Anon remembers the GameCube 1 month ago:
I see what you’re going for, but for the average console modder, it’s far easier to just trim the “wrong” motherboard than transplant the relevant chips onto a custom substrate.
- Comment on Anon remembers the GameCube 1 month ago:
Yeah, the original Wii revision with the ports for GC controllers and memory cards had legit GameCube hardware right on the motherboard.
In fact, a lot of Gamecube builds utilize that exact Wii motherboard, just heavily cut down. It’s pretty cool.

Oof. I feel for her. That fight/flight/freeze response can be really hard to override, especially given her background.
I taught myself how to drive in the snow pretty soon after I got my license, in a 1991 FJ80 Land Cruiser with zero electronic aids. I figured out how to drift that pig through the whole church parking lot 😂, but being able to do that on my own was hugely beneficial to where I could make my FWD cars perform better in the snow than most drivers here with 4WD.
- Comment on Wear your seatbelt 3 months ago:
That sounds wonderful. With the amount of total morons on the road today, this needs to be implemented in every US state.
- Comment on Wear your seatbelt 3 months ago:
You would be shocked.
- Comment on Wear your seatbelt 3 months ago:
The same results can be achieved at 5 MPH. A car moving at that speed still carries a shitton of momentum.
- Comment on Wear your seatbelt 3 months ago:
I’ve trained all of my kids to wear seatbelts no matter what. I’ve shown them what happens to unsecured items, and videos of what happens in a wreck (not overly graphic, but enough to get it through their heads).
- Comment on Wear your seatbelt 3 months ago:
At least they are mostly just endangering themselves,
Until they have a passenger. Then they become flying projectiles.
- Comment on Wear your seatbelt 3 months ago:
That’s actually how they are sold to get around the “bypass” function. Like how single roses in gas stations are sold in conveniently shaped glass containers. Or vape batteries being sold as “soldering irons” with a shitty soldering tip that doesn’t even work.
Point: it’s not a bottle opener. It’s a seatbelt bypass with plausible deniability.
- Comment on Wear your seatbelt 3 months ago:
Man, you can do that at 5 MPH and get a similar reaction. A few thousand pounds of car moving at 5MPH carries way more momentum than people realize.

My first thought would be to just act stupid in that specific situation and straight up lie out of my ass:
“But that tool is sharp, right?”
“Nope”
“If someone attacked you, would you stab them with it?”
“Lol no”
Of course, this also has a high likelihood of backfiring
