Without context, this could be easily dismissed.
However, OP is posting on 4chan, so it’s likely he did pose a threat.

I grew up playing Gran Turismo 3, and that was an absolute blast - me and a Buddy had a Miata in the game that we both put a lot of time into, and it taught us about how car running worked (to a certain degree, anyway). My wife got me a PS5 when we were dating, and I immediately bought GTA7 at full price… Only to be met with an absolute assload of microtransactions.
It bothered me so much that I ended up going out and buying a PS2 off FB marketplace and dug out GTA3 from my parents’ collection of games.

Once you really get going with the volume of units - especially over a network - the loads on the system can get heavy. Basically, you get carried away having too much fun building some absurd army.
I haven’t really run into that on my 5800X3D w/32GB RAM, though I imagine pretty much any x86 system made after 2000 or so should handle it fine.

I’ve been playing Total Annihilation the last couple days. The 1997 game that you can get for $5 on GOG. I had it as a kid and played all the time.
My son has been wanting to play it with me, so I gave him a quick rundown on “skirmish” mode earlier tonight. He caught on pretty quick. It can get brutal though. Hopefully I can get the network muliplayer working so we can play together.
Worth every penny.

EA’s Real Racing turned into this pay-to-play shit. I genuinely enjoyed that game back when it came out, then everything started to get monetized and you had to do various things fairly often if you wanted to make any sort of progress.
Why can’t I just have a fun realistic racing game that doesn’t try to cram “upgrades” that cost real money down my throat?
- Comment on Anon is not satisfied 2 weeks ago:
Games that require daily participation to make any sort of progress are a non-starter for me. I have other shit that’s far more interesting than fake anime tiddies.

I have two great example of this.
1-
Last month, the mountainside behind our house was set on fire. Burned ~20 acres, the inferno was within a few hundred feet of our house. My only thoughts were “we are OK, we have resources that we can tap into if necessary”2-
Last week, my wife’s ex decided to throw his new marriage into the trash, and we had to get the kids from him a week early. Problem was, several months in advance, I’d spent $400+ on non-refundable tickets (thanks ticketmaster) for two back-to-back shows for my wife and I, based around the fact that the kids were going to be with bio-dad until after this weekend. We scrambled to find childcare, but to no avail, plus my parents already had plans for the weekend. Luckily my in-laws were willing to take the kids for two nights in a row so we could hit those shows.
I wanted to murder that man, because these shows were a literal dream come true for my wife (it was her birthday gift). I still want to murder him, because we had a solid co-parenting relationship with him and his now-sbtx wife.

Sounds like my ex. The most easily-fixable things would cause her to fly off the handle. Non-issues like turning on the wrong burner; shit that could be resolved completely within 5 seconds if they would just take the time to shut the fuck up and think about it.

Before LCDs it was plasma which until the the late 2000s had more technical advantages over LCD Refresh rate, contrast. LCDs couldn’t really match them until the 2010s

Yeah, exactly.
Maybe some do, but it’s not a common thing.
- Comment on adult porn is gross 3 weeks ago:
I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a big reason.
That said, the whole trope of a clearly-not-teenager dressing up as a “teenager” with pigtails and everything is just…weird. It’s not a turn on for me in the slightest. Even when I was a teenager and came across that, my first thought was “that’s not how girls my age operate”.

The whole show is about how Rick is a selfish prick. That episode was also about Rick being a selfish prick and trying to weasel out family therapy by turning himself into a pickle.
That’s it. That was the entire reason for Pickle Rick. But the idiots who idolize Rick for some reason cranked it up to full retard.

You’re joking, right?
Roiland is a great voice actor, but the rambling “comedy” bits got old and repetitive real fast. I don’t miss them. That, and the new VOs hit it out of the park.

Ace Combat
That actually looks like a fun game.
- Comment on Anon likes trains 5 weeks ago:
Ok, cool. But I don’t think your experience would still be very good if you were joined by an additional trainload of people riding 4x4s right alongside you. It’d be time to pave over that canyon so that the people visiting it can park.
Completely missed the point.
- Comment on Anon likes trains 5 weeks ago:
Of course; do you not?
- Comment on Anon likes trains 5 weeks ago:
A train can’t take me up remote roads 15 miles up a canyon that only a capable 4x4 can reach (this is the point of those roads), then take me out the other end into a small town with a delicious diner and ice cream shop. All while checking out abandoned mines (no I don’t go in) and other history from before my time.

My mom had to go back to glasses after wearing contacts for years because the contacts wore away her corneas!
That’s a slightly horrifying thought… My wife has keratoconus and has to wear hard contacts (scleral lenses, but functionally the same thing) in order to see at all.
