Yeah, exactly.
Maybe some do, but it’s not a common thing.
- Comment on adult porn is gross 2 days ago:
I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a big reason.
That said, the whole trope of a clearly-not-teenager dressing up as a “teenager” with pigtails and everything is just…weird. It’s not a turn on for me in the slightest. Even when I was a teenager and came across that, my first thought was “that’s not how girls my age operate”.

The whole show is about how Rick is a selfish prick. That episode was also about Rick being a selfish prick and trying to weasel out family therapy by turning himself into a pickle.
That’s it. That was the entire reason for Pickle Rick. But the idiots who idolize Rick for some reason cranked it up to full retard.

You’re joking, right?
Roiland is a great voice actor, but the rambling “comedy” bits got old and repetitive real fast. I don’t miss them. That, and the new VOs hit it out of the park.

Ace Combat
That actually looks like a fun game.
- Comment on Anon likes trains 2 weeks ago:
Ok, cool. But I don’t think your experience would still be very good if you were joined by an additional trainload of people riding 4x4s right alongside you. It’d be time to pave over that canyon so that the people visiting it can park.
Completely missed the point.
- Comment on Anon likes trains 2 weeks ago:
Of course; do you not?
- Comment on Anon likes trains 2 weeks ago:
A train can’t take me up remote roads 15 miles up a canyon that only a capable 4x4 can reach (this is the point of those roads), then take me out the other end into a small town with a delicious diner and ice cream shop. All while checking out abandoned mines (no I don’t go in) and other history from before my time.

I would argue that the Scottish kilt is one of the manliest items of clothing to exist. Its “gender-normative” equivalent is essentially a skirt.

My mom had to go back to glasses after wearing contacts for years because the contacts wore away her corneas!
That’s a slightly horrifying thought… My wife has keratoconus and has to wear hard contacts (scleral lenses, but functionally the same thing) in order to see at all.

Brakes can absolutely stop faster than a log falling off a truck. Your reaction time is the main concern.

This has nothing to do with online platforms, and everything to do with terminally-online people who have never experienced socializing with the opposite gender.

IMO its not about the item, but the intent. I know we’re getting into hypotheticals and rhetoricals, but IMO, the line is doing anything that causes harm to another living being without feeling remorse.
Stealing a water bottle from a megacorp doesn’t harm anybody. Stealing a water bottle from a homeless person can mean life or death.

DOS isn’t Windows. Consumer versions of Windows ran on top of DOS until XP was released in 2001.

Yikes. How’d that get resolved? If at all?

Horrendously racist term aside, I feel for this dude. I’ve logged into Microsoft’s support forums more than a few times specifically to call out and report the mindless idiots who keep marking their own unhelpful comments as “solutions.”

Work laptop = not your problem
I’m in the same situation. If I wanna dick around on the internet at work, I have my phone and personal laptop, which happens to be a Thinkpad T14 G1 (running LMDE 6) and blends right in.

You’re not wrong, and I agree in that it feels like W10 is where MS finally got it right.
However, hindsight is 20/20, and those sentiments were definitely not felt in the first few years after W10 was released. Once all the big issues were worked out and people figured out how to remove the bloat/spyware shit though, it was a solid OS.
What did W11 add that we didn’t have before? A TPM requirement? Ads? AI slop/shovelware/spyware?
W11 right now is essentially a shitty skin on top of W10, with more ad/spy/bloatware shit. The kernel is still version 10.x.whatever FFS 😅. But SHINY INTERFACE and ONEDRIVE
