That’s fair… but also Elden Ring had so many cave dungeons that used the same layout it was painful by the end

My first gaming memory was watching my dad kill Ganon when I was probably 4 or 5.
I have played Link to the Past so many times over the years, probably most recently when I got a switch in 2018. I’ve actually still never beat the preceding 2 main games, having been turned off by their lack of direction too many times.
These days I think Tears of the Kingdom is my new favourite (although Ocarina and LTTP will always be in my favourite games of all time list). I found the story to be better than average for Zelda, and the final boss battle in that one is just amazing - maybe not very hard, but I can’t remember any game with a more spectacular ending.

Do you still use UG?
I do, but I assume there may be better options out there now.

The problem sites are never the big ones for me, it’s always the weird niche blogs that have the answer to my question that end up being obviously AI generated.

- Comment on Indie game developers have a new sales pitch: being ‘AI free’ 3 months ago:
Personally speaking I don’t care at all about dev tools, as they have always been used. Vibe coding does bother me though - if you don’t know HOW to code, you probably shouldn’t be doing it.
The real issue though is using AI generated assets. If you have a game that uses human made art, story, and music, no one is going to complain about you using AI. Even if you somehow managed to get there via vibe coding.

Imagine, if you will, the possibility of NOT increasing prices 50% to give us the “additional value” of shit we don’t want.
I was happy paying for games, but suddenly I’m extremely willing to get back into piracy. Fucking weird, right?
