You have a good point about Alyx. My opinion using VR is that there’s a point with graphics when it feels comfortable, any better doesn’t give much to the experience like if you see pixels your brain just thinks that’s how the world is. I don’t include objects being interactive into graphics here, but what people generally perceive as graphics ie textures, lighting and other stuff you need gpu for. Also there are very few such interactive objects in beat saber or superhot though you still feel being in vr.

That’s probably the best how copilot could optimize it.

From my experience graphics doesn’t matter much in VR if FPS is fine. You can play HL Alyx on a what was sometime ago affordable gpu and get almost the same experience as with 5900.

Definitely but the US current situation and struggle is not at all like French Revolution. “The aristocrats”(aka the rich) are the ones who lead this, any change won’t be for the good of the people, just money changing hands. Looks more like the fall of Roman Republic to me with common people suffering and the state becoming more authoritarian.

Why do you think political violence is good? Isn’t it a sign of a failing state?

That’s an interesting take. You think game developers should not make games that require hands, vision, hearing, etc to enjoy them?
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 1 week ago:
I like them because I will think what I did wrong, not just going to do that wrong thing again until I get lucky with my wrong strategy.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 1 week ago:
I disagree about the fly that they just wanted to make you die more. The boss itself is super easy, it has two attacks which are not only easily dodged but also leave a lot of opportunities to attack and move around.
So in essence the boss itself is a bag with silk to heal or use magic attacks while the real problem you face is using those resources to control the minions it summons. So yeah if you go with the strategy to kill the boss fast you will suffer but if you act as a hunter to control the fight you will win.
Just my take on this boss after 100+ tries, and do consider it a good and interesting boss fight.
Or you can just rely on luck and brute force.

It’s difficult for me and I like it. I played Hollow Knight but didn’t finish it because it was too frustrating late game. Silksong to me is not frustrating because difficulty is mainly in figuring out how to pass the challenge, not doing reflexes which I don’t have. Most of the things I heard people complain about are solved by not rushing around with failing strategy but by thinking what the game recently suggested you to do for this particular encounter.
I actually think bringing in Hollow Knight experience aka “I already know everything” might be the reason why some people are frustrated. Like I heard a person who claimed to get all the achievements in HK complain that the second phase of one boss is terrible because they spent a hundred tries to dodge all the projectiles while you can just stand at the corner of the arena where non of them will hit you and use the tools this game gives you to win the fight.

At first I thought that’s how Americans measure it - in San Franciscos. But given how “San Francisco” doesn’t sound like “One seven six oh” I’m not sure if they don’t.

I gave Bloodborne my best effort (30-40 hours of it) but eventually had to give it up
That’s sad to hear. It’s the game From Software put most effort to design wise. It was incredibly clunky on release, probably feels even worse after playing later From titles. Wish we had a remaster but we likely won’t. Even playing on an emulator won’t help because of how From developed their games back then. Still it is the best game From Software made.

I didn’t try to change your opinion. You asked the question why it’s so hyped, I answered. If you want to know more about the game you should read reviews or watch streams(luckily there are too many of those right now).

Not at all, I played the first game, found it interesting but didn’t finish, late game was too hard for me. Still, the game was probably the best you could find in this genre and the developers are really sweet. The hype is well deserved and unlike Valve they actually delivered.

Regional pricing. Poor countries get lower prices so they could afford buying games and not just pirate them.

Why is it so shocking to you? It’s jenre is popular since the beginning of gaming. It has super popular predecessor. The developers are loved for their love for their game and respect for gamers. It’s been waited and memed for 7 years gaining something of a HL3 fame. There’s no indication that the game is not at least as good as it’s predecessor(10/10 on steam, 90 on metacritic). It will probably be contesting for the game of the year awards with Claire Obscure. With all that it’s 20$.

It’s an easy way to test your censorship algorithms. People swear all the time. It’s also a message to “think what you’re saying before posting” which is great because the best censorship is self censorship. By “great” I mean it’s essential for fascism. Control how people speak, it makes you control how they think, then you control how they act.
