It’s hard to tell if you actually are making a coherent counter argument here since your response is 90% ad homenem.
Concepts are high level ideas. Mechanics are lower level implementations of those ideas.
But I think the original poster really meant “vision” or “motif” more than they meant “concept”.
A game with lots of deep mechanics but lacking overall vision is really just seen as a fancy tech demo by most people.

You’re describing mechanics not a concept.

The world is unfathomably massive. What is it that people want to do with bigger worlds?

Firefox is the best browser (uBlock). Linux is the best OS for a growing number of things. Android is terrible but still the best mobile OS. Lemmy is the best social media platform.
Honourable mention to Luanti which most people wouldn’t say is better than Minecraft yet but it’s absolutely getting there.

- Comment on Anon doesn't tip 5 months ago:
Honestly if you think about it. The cost of your meal going up and the cost of tipping are not different in their end result for the consumer.
The employee still gets the short end because people won’t always tip. Or even show up.
The owner gets the long (?) end because they don’t have to pay their workers a higher wage (very bad if it’s a slow day) and the customers who otherwise wouldn’t have eaten there if the prices were high will still eat there and not tip.
So it really doesn’t effect the consumer at all but it does effect the employee quite a bit for sure.

He can obviously do whatever the fuck he wants. This unfortunately isn’t even a reasonable question to be asking at this point.
- Comment on Dear Americans, be prepare to get screwed! 5 months ago:
The US is at least 40 years removed from any kind of real electronics manufacturing at scale.
This kind of think takes generation knowledge to get right and we outsourced that knowledge a long time ago.
We are now several generations from being able to manufacture electronics on the level.
Either trump has no idea how anything works or he’s actively trying to destroy the American economy.

Companies will never be able to stop this,
If they have their way they will. All the tech bros are pushing for trusted computing platforms.
Imagine a world where most/all computers are as locked down as an iPad. That’s what they seem to want.

Realistically with the new apple M-series stuff this is just not the case. The battery life is absolutely nuts. Especially compared to high end Linux laptops.
