Cart retriever ? Why is that even a job.
- Comment on It's just a Planck bro 2 weeks ago:
The smallest particles are not actually balls, but are wibbly wobbly. To measure something we need to interact with it, even if we interact with it using light. But because those particles are all wibbly wobbly, we can’t say for sure where they are exactly. And that unsure distance is Plancks length.
Disclaimer; I am not theoretical not a physicist, now eat your vegetables.

- Comment on How is TikTok being blocked in the US? 4 weeks ago:
Yea. DNS is just an address book (name to IP). There’s a bit more to how it is structured, but it’s not that complicated.
Actually thinking about it, they would not have to remove the “domain” (tiktok.com or whatever it is), they (tiktok) would just have to stop using it for business. They could like put a banner that says “tiktok is no longer avalible here” or whatever.
Other part is IP. As you said, you could just change what dns server your phone asks for IPs and use it like normal. The government could block the IP at the big nodes going out of the country. Then you would have to use a vpn. Idk what they (usa or tiktok) have done, but I know tiktok will not actively try to skirt around it and will remove themselves. I would expect someone stupid like musky to try something, but big companies are usually serious.
Anyway, they can’t stop vpns. But vpns are a pain for regular folk.

It will probably be removed from DNS (and appstores). Google IANA , and DNS if you want to know more.

I remember someone tested this, and the bacteria was found in a wider area.
Either way bacteria is everywhere and we got immune systems.

Turning heat into mechanical or chemical or electric energy directly is really hard, you know.
It’s funny that you can get more energy from gas by using it to heat water and using a steam turbine to drive whatever. It’s just not always practical.

Take a coin and trow it as hard as you can. The curving is not that much.
- Comment on don't be a coward 2 months ago:
Magnets, heat, idk. A crystal could grow by fusing drifting material to itself. It could grow as big as a planet ober billions of years and fire lazors. Time or size don’t need to fit our human perception. Then there’s physics stuff we still don’t know (subatomic, dark matter, including magnetism).
- Comment on don't be a coward 2 months ago:
It can be cristals and photons. Carbon is the basis of life because it’s good for looooong molecules. But it’s not like it’s the only option. It may not even be the best option on planets with different temperatures or pressures.
Anyway life may not even need food or care about the passage of time.
