Allowing a four year old to bathe alone seems irresponsible.

When I was 7 I was taking a bubble bath, and gave myself the full Santa beard like kids do. My mom came in to check on me and it startled me when the door opened, I inhaled sharply/gasped, breathed in a shit ton of soap bubbles and couldn’t breathe, coughed so much I almost passed out, and fell below the water. My mom thought I’d died, scared the shit out of her

My mom left me and my sister alone in the bath around that age with the razorblades within our reach and we sliced ourselves up real nice

When I was two, I tried to get out of the bath but the side was slippery. I cracked my head open, my mom came in to see a blood covered baby, and I got six stitches at the hospital. My first emergency room visit! Also my earliest memory. Just the hospital bit though.

What if? What if I’m taking a shower and I slip on a bar of soap?.. Oh my god, I’d be killed!

Hahahahahahahahaha, sweet summer child. At this stage actual autism is practically dorment between general kids stupidity… or maybe thats what they meant, cant tell. Actually autistic here.
This is an incredible common situation, specifically slipping and getting knocked out. Baths are dangerous. Always stay within immeo intervention distance when there is a young kid in the bath.

Yeah, ill always stay only one room away from my 3y old taking a bath. Theyre kids, doing kids stuff. And thats often stupid and probably fatal

And also drunk people. Don’t drink and bathe.

If you get knocked out and end up underwater, does the reflex to hold your breath kick in or does it require consciousness?
Like is survival (if you’re alone) dependent on just coming to (and understanding what’s going on enough to sit up) before you run out of oxygen and CO2 buildup overrides the hold breath underwater reflex, or will you possibly come to with lungs full of water (if you come to at all)?
