- Comment on Donald Trump just shared an AI video to Truth Social depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys 1 week ago:
Social views that are based on “others” and tacitly exclude oneself are dangerous. If you can see the flaws of tribalism and capable of imagining what the right thing to do is, so is everyone else. It will take time, sure. It might take dacades, or even centuries, but defeatism and attributing all negative qualities of humanity to some “others” who just are incapable of thinking for themselves won’t help anyone. Culture is intergenerational accumulation of knowledge and it can change. It did change. It shapes human activity more than biology in many situations. And it evolves way faster than biology. This is not a dig at you. All I am trying to say is, if you can see the wrong and imagine the right, there are definitely many others like you, and we can change things. Not you and me specifically maybe (but also maybe you and me) but all the people with a conscience, in time.

Morrowind was my favorite. I couldn’t play Oblivion for more than an hour and I have tried multiple times over the years. Something about that game just bores me to death. Skyrim was good though, after getting some used to.

I look at controls in settings but all this time I assumed that was because I’m dumb. I thought “I was obviously supposed to know how controls work, because I need to go into a menu that is for changing controls, to see what controls are. If developers thought there was something that I couldn’t know without looking at the control map, it would have been in a top level menu called control/key map for me to have a quick look”.

Yeah, the least believable part of some human transforming into an invisible tiger at will is them being able to see while in the invisible-tiger form. Doesn’t make any physical sense…

There should be laws forcing payment processors to be neutral. They should have to accept any transaction that would be legal if made using cash.

In my opinion, the obsession with being able to measure everything with numbers is the cause. And those numbers are inevitably converting d to units of money, because capitalism.
