Heavy Update, Pikmin 5, New Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Devil Survivor 3, Digital Devil Saga remaster, a variety of sequels but actually done right instead of being butchered

I don’t even hate the concept of the rewinds; they just mostly suck. The one for Discord was basically just “heres who you chatted with most, the server you sent most messages in, and how many emojis you sent.” I don’t care. Youtube and YTMusic have one. Spotify added an AI Wrapped podcast last year. Even the NYT Games app has one.

As a fan of TF2, I’ll quote another greentext: “does nothing, competition keeps shooting themself in the foot.” It was about Overwatch vs TF2, but it’s mostly similar.

That’s generally how I follow it also. Though I add the stipulation that they’re enjoyable hours, and it’s not hardline. I know not every game can be measured that way. If it’s a particular genre or series, l might take the dive anyway. For indies, it goes even further than that. Some I track for years before release, so I pre-order as soon as it becomes available, just to support as much as I can. So $/hr is a good baseline, but it’s deeper than that.

I literally did not see it until you said that. I always saw an owl.

If no one ever told me what Hooters was about when I was younger, I absolutely would have gone to one as an adult thinking it would involve owls. Like a cat cafe, but owls.
- Comment on You can only bring back one. Which do you choose? 5 months ago:
This is probably true, but I remember Blockbuster was good at renting out trash movies. While Netflix does this also, some of them no streaming service wants to or can pick up today. Like the old Mario movie or the weird Red Riding Hood movie with Henry Cavill. That being said, I still wouldn’t bring it back.

Not a videogame, but I’d argue it could very well be the case for Pathfinder, D&D, WH, or any other tabletop system in which you really get invested.

I just like the way it feels. Though because of all the risks, I wouldn’t do it except at home or similar environments.
- Comment on 2025 be vibin' 6 months ago:
Yeah, that’s what I mean. To work anywhere in my field, I’ll need to pack up and move, finding an apartment on my own and still taking care of myself, while on a salary that’s not particularly great.
- Comment on 2025 be vibin' 6 months ago:
Yeah, I loved graduating with an environmental degree, and the only relevent jobs being hours away.

It’s easy for me to remember. I made a cute soundtrack for an anniversary. I miss that relationship sometimes, but I try to convince myself leaving helped me grow.

This is what I tend to say to people about Harry Potter as a series. It was the first series like it to become popular, and that’s its only merit. Overall it’s very tame and bland, but it got lucky and became popular. I didn’t like it because it was too same-y. After book 3 or so, I don’t care about Harry Potter anymore. Explore someone else that’s more ordinary. It makes a much better setting for derivative works, which to me as someone who writes textbooks of lore for RPGs is more important than just making a series sell well.
- Comment on OMG no please don’t call me. 7 months ago:
Depends on the context for me. There are definitely times I’d rather be face to face, but there are also times I’d rather text.

This still excludes the superior option: fountain pen. It writes so beautifully, even if it disadvantages the left-handed. And has high maintenance.

The stem on a wine glass has a purpose besides looking fancy. A wine drinker is meant to hold the glass by the stem so the temperature in their hand doesn’t affect the flavor profile in the wine. All wines have an ideal serving temperature also. It depends on the specific wine, but in general, reds are slightly below room temperature and whites are slightly above fridge temperature.

Out of curiosity, I read one of their scientific studies on the website. The first one I read was a literature review (no tests were actually done) that said “one study says the supplement does nothing and another two sources say the study was done wrong so it could maybe be beneficial???” Wow. Such strong evidence.

This one is 2000s, but I remember my family renting a Red Riding Hood movie from blockbuster. It was extremely weird and creepy, and I always struggled to find details of the movie online. I recently found it again and watched it, and it’s still weird and creepy (though that makes it fun to drink and watch as an adult.) I then learned Henry Cavill and Joey Fatone were in the movie, which didn’t sit well as an adult.
- Comment on I liked Star Trek before it got woke. /s 10 months ago:
I think this is generally what I hear when it comes to “woke” media. I always chalk it up to media having no clue on how normal humans function in a society.
- Comment on How did a simple phone call become so problematic? 10 months ago:
I don’t know why, but I despise phone calls. I’d even rather someone video call me or talk face to face. I just find it worse than every other method of communication.
- Comment on Religion 10 months ago:
One of which that I’m aware is: the devil was deliberately created with the knowledge of its future rebellion to test the faith of people. Another is to wait for them to repent. I don’t follow any more, but deeper into catholicism there’s a surprising amount of theory. For a religion with an organized structure, it’s not very organized.

Only restaurant my family had a borderline hostile reaction from the staff. Seated other families before us, stating “we forgot you,” and ignoring a meal order from a member stating, “you didn’t order anything.”

Not likely. In an interview, Trump said people supporting Luigi is a “sickness.” Which makes sense, because he’s entirely disconnected from reality.

This is something that gets examined pretty well in Your Inner Fish, particularly in the chapter named Your Inner Shark. It analyzes how the embryo develops and how the embryos are very similar to start.

I know it’s technically a usable defense, but how often is the Act of God defense actually ruled? From what I understand, it rarely works, and you’d have a better chance with any other defense. Has it been successfully used recently?
