- Comment on What happened to Larry the Cable Guy? 4 days ago:
He made enough money from voicing Mater in “Cars” and its sequels that he doesn’t really ever need to work anymore. He talks about it in an interview and he actually tears up at how kind John Lasseter was.
- Comment on What's the greatest joy you have gotten from a video game? 1 week ago:
Killing Vivec and then getting the message about being doomed was probably my favorite “oh shit” moment of all time.
- Comment on How many games do you manage to play at the same time? 2 weeks ago:
Slay the spire, FTL, and Into the Breach probably have the most hours from me because the controls are entirely cursor driven and can be paused indefinitely.
Balatro is quickly taking the space that the built-in Windows solitaire game used to.
Those are the ones that I open when my brain can’t brain.
At least one idle game. I just finished antimatter dimensions after a year or so. Starting on NGU idle next.
And one “100% attention” game like outer wilds or hollow knight.

Start watching sissy hypnosis videos to condition yourself into eating it, obviously. It’s the only undetectable disposal method.
- Comment on Why does the winter solstice mark the beginning of winter, and not the center? 2 weeks ago:
Seasons in Texas:
June 5-October 25th: fuck you it’s 100+° F / 38° C. Most non-native plants die if they receive direct sunlight all day. It’s 85°F / 30°C at night.
October 26th - December 10th: fuck you it’s 90° F / 32° C but also 40°F / 5°C in the morning; you’d better have 2 sets of clothes for the day
Dec 11th - Feb 28th: actually decent weather
March 1st - May 1: it’s getting hotter but also raining a lot so it’s muggy but the weather is still tolerable sometimes
May 2 - June 4: Hot and humid, sensory nightmare, air outside feels like your lungs have been filled with a damp blanket. 95+% humidity at all times.
- Comment on Longtime buddy of mine just got a gaming PC. What games would make up a good "welcome to PC" care package? 2 weeks ago:
I usually gift Wallpaper engine. Not a game but it’s a fantastic tool for personalization.
- Comment on 'Baldur's Gate 3': Patch 8 Will Get TWELVE New Subclasses In 2025 1 month ago:
The game was done at launch. I played through the campaign the first month after it was released. I would have been happy with what was in the game a year ago
People bought the game and that enabled larian to keep working on it. So they got to polish and add in the stuff that had been left on the cutting room floor we’d have never otherwise seen due to that pesky reality of not being able to ship a finished product if the scope kept growing.
So now, a year after release, there’s a whole DLC’s worth of content in the game that we just get for free.
- Comment on What options does one have when they reach the end of a car lease but cannot find a good deal at the time of it's end? 1 month ago:
You can sell the buyout option to a place like Carvana or something.
- Comment on Where can I buy a mosquito laser system? 1 month ago:
Doesn’t matter if it’s visible or not- any laser capable of delivering enough energy to kill or otherwise disable a mosquito will harm your eyes.

Wow, everyone left another platform and were inspired to leave for the same reason, as a group. Now they’re showing extreme similarities in other ways! When will the madness stop??!

Yeah let’s ignore the fact that it loses 70% of its strength at like 800 F.
- Comment on How do you set up wake up alarm and not miss it ? 4 months ago:
Get a timer controlled power outlet and hook a Hitachi magic wand to it. Place the wand under your pillow. The vibration is super intense and gets uncomfortable at the highest setting. Bonus points you can wake and bate since you have a massager handy.
- Comment on Seriously, what the f*** is keeping Donald Trump in this presidential race? 4 months ago:
I have to do the same thing but my natural response isn’t to attack others based on physical traits or religious beliefs. My natural response is to figure out who’s hoarding the most wealth and convince them it’s in their best interest to share lest others take a more violent approach at a more desperate time.

Carbon steel loses 70% of its strength at 800 degrees though.
- Comment on What are some game series you would like to see revived? And if possible, which entry should the new game follow from? 4 months ago:
There hasn’t really been a good vehicular combat game in awhile, like Vigilante 8 or Twisted Metal
I also noticed there haven’t really been any good couch party games besides Mario party; think Crash Bash, Pokemon stadium, fusion frenzy, and the like.

- Comment on Anon finds a plot hole 5 months ago:
Now that I think about it, Felix Felicus in the HP universe is basically an analogue to atium in the mistborn saga.
Mistborn did it a little better.
- Comment on Anon finds a plot hole 5 months ago:
Michael Bay movies aren’t fun to watch because they have airtight plots and intelligent writing. They’re fun to watch because there are sparkly things going boom and it looks pretty.
The Harry Potter series is effectively the same thing. A spectacular story that’s fun to experience the first time through.
In both cases, if you think too hard about it, the thin veneer giving the appearance of coherence disappears and you’re left with a logically inconsistent mess.
It’s not going to stop me from watching Independence Day or reading Prisoner of Azkaban again though.

They fought most of the rest of the world all at once and it was pretty touch-and-go there for a bit.
If Hitler had died of a meth overdose in early 1940 I could see the universe of ‘The Man In The High Castle’ coming to pass
