- Comment on Looking for answers 1 week ago:
The problem here is that the war already started but just one side is really fighting it.
I would be in favour of not starting it too, but it’s too late now.

- Comment on It's true 1 week ago:
I mean if they did that and the real killer killed another CEO it would look very bad.
- Comment on Not something urgent, but the Aussie parliament passed new laws yesterday and it could impact Lemmy.world (in a year) 3 weeks ago:
By those definitions any newspaper website with comments is social media. The sole purpose (or main purpose) of a Lemmy instance is to aggregate links, the comments are secondary (just like in newspaper websites). The definition is too vague and if you apply it to the letter it would include 99% of websites, even porn websites have comments these days.

- Comment on Palworld Developer Reveals The Pokémon Patents Nintendo Claims It's Violating 4 weeks ago:
Patents are not the problem, they serve as a way to share the knowledge of a creation with everyone while protecting your company for a REASONABLE TIME to compensate for the RnD costs.
The problem is the distortion of the concept to fit late stage capitalism delights.
- Comment on Ubisoft sued for shutting down The Crew 5 weeks ago:
No he doesn’t, he creates strawman and fights them
- Comment on If the EU uses online signature for European Citizen's Initiative, why isn't voting online for elections or policies not allowed? 5 weeks ago:
There is something people here didn’t mention yet, the vote is secret for many reasons, one of them is that you can’t get a receipt that you voted for one party and then use that to get paid or rewarded.
By voting online it’s not possible to keep the vote secret as there are always ways to prove without a doubt for a certain party.
- Comment on Here are the patents Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are suing Palworld over 1 month ago:
Imagine if doom patented shooting a gun at an enemy
- Comment on Realistically... How fucked is the US? 1 month ago:
Just to add, it was always the US strategy to have the western world dependent on it for defence, it gave them a lot of soft and hard power and allowed for unopposed imperialism in “less important” (with a lot of irony) parts of the world.

Remember when they burned children alive because their parents may or may not have modified some firearms.
- Comment on do you think lemmy will ever be popular? 1 month ago:
I think the only thing that would 100% kill Reddit is a paid subscription, anything other than that O don’t see it.

I mean, driving a car is dangerous, everything has a risk inherent to it but you can minimise it by being prudent.
- Comment on Cords 3 months ago:
I used it to connect a generator to the wall and give me some temporary power in my house when I was renovating. It’s only dangerous if you are stupid.

Do you understand what a proof of concept is? No one is saying this is the next “lifehack” for unlimited storage.
