If you are lucky, you can sell half of that ram next year to make your money back.

Then watch him get disappointed because you got him a 5060, instead of a 5090.

Spared no expense. I just paid 70 bucks for half a tb of high-speed microsd. 3 years ago I could get 1 to for less.

Is half of that RAM backup for when the first 32 dies or does he actually do something needing 64?

That’s such an insanely nice gift. I’m sure they’re thrilled with it.

If you didn’t hand mine the silicon, can you really call yourself committed?

I hope you both enjoy yourselves :)

Bought my wife a $1k Alienware laptop because it was double the specs of the next tier down for only $100 more. Still crazy

Is it a PC for playing 15 year old games? Because that’s still a gaming PC.

We bought my niece a new PC so she can do schoolwork on, she’s an art major and needs the Adobe suite and other related programs that her poor little laptop just couldn’t handle. That thing couldn’t even open a Chrome tab. Steep price for a Ryzen 7 7700x and 5060ti but it was worth it to see her smile!
