Disney execs have never heard of Tail Spin and even if they did they assume no one else has.

They remake the same blockbuster movies hoping lightning strikes twice.

A live-action Gadget would create an entire generation of furries the likes of which the world has never seen

That’s rescue rangers, not tail spin.

You mean The Jungle Book (which actually was a pretty decent remake, if only for Christopher Walken), as that takes place within The Jungle Book world?

Oh no I very much remember the show Tail Spin. Huge fan back in the day.

But Tail Spin was an extension of The Jungle Book, not Lion King.

Also you should watch the Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers movie. It is way better than it had any right to be.

I would spend money if they did a few seasons or a movie of any new IP, but hand drawn/animated.

The “live action” movies are pretty expensive, so Disney only brings out the big money IP to turn into films. As good as TaleSpin was, it was a secondary version of an IP turned into a 90’s cartoon which is connected to other cartoons in the same continuity. It might get a TV sequel similar to DuckTales, but the DuckTales reboot ended 5 years ago and Disney didn’t seem to want to continue cashing in on that form of nostalgia with spin off shows.

I don’t see it getting a Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers treatment because that movie was made to be a very Hollywood movie that brought in major comedic talent. In contrast, Dieselpunk hasn’t been big years and I don’t think that Disney would risk the funding needed to make that movie.

Now, if they can get Jonathan Frakes into a stylish black suit…

That would be dope. They’ve been doing different versions of Duck Tails; why not also do Tail Spin and Rescue Rangers? Hell, even a Zootopia TV show. I remember back when damn near all their hit movies got TV series. Including The Lion King (which was top notch).

Why is anything not made? Nobody’s offered a convincing pitch.
