Been thinking about the whole Albo FMK situation. Kylie is a 50 year old woman, it would be weirder if he picked anyone younger. And it’s quite refreshing knowing he likes a woman closer to his age given the tastes of other world leaders

Most of the heat is coming from the right wing. Who want to abolish childcare, equal pay between genders, abortion rights and other women’s health services and call representation in media woke, etc. They are not champions for women, they just want ammo. It’s putrid.

I refuse to watch it because I don’t consume that kind of slop anyway, but did she give him 3 options? Usually when you do FMK you pick 3 people and have to choose a role for each. From the little I’ve read she just asked FMK of anyone with no qualifiers. That’s being a bad interviewer if you ask me

The LLM rubbish is just so tedious, it all sounds the same. Even if the content is useful the delivery just becomes mind-numbing when you encounter the same tone and pacing everywhere.
It frustrates me that it’s also individual people putting their own writing through AI to rewrite it in the same bland tone. It’s getting to the point I’m getting disgust/anger reactions just to seeing the phrase “I’m curious”. It’s the sort of loathing previously reserved for tv laugh tracks, but you can’t avoid it by just turning off the tv because it is everywhere.

The part that really enrages me is that i’m often explicitly looking for things to buy. Very specific parts. SEO is failing at even showing me shit i literally want to spend money on. I wish to beat someone with a chair.
Dogpile and startpagge are great for technical data, fic and projects, but not so much for goods. DDG has been completely munged by the engines it feeds off and google doesnt show you what you search for, it shows you what it thinks is the closest match in its advertising network. And it is wrong as hell.

First Aid training tomorrow at my job provider. Had to do one of those Literacy and Numeracy tests tonight on Canvas, and the questions were so damn simple I had to stop second guessing myself.
Let me smash the ribs of the mannequin and give them the kiss of life already.
I did learn that there is in fact a difference between a “mannequin” (fashion) and a “manikin” (anatomically correct) though, so there’s that.
